Cleaning out your student’s closets?  If so, hang on to those SMSA school uniforms that no longer fit and exchange them for other items. The SMSA Summer Uniform Exchange will be held Thursday, August 9th at Holy Family Hall.  Details to follow.

SMSA 6th Grade students designed Kindness Rocks to place in various public spaces within the FDL Community.  Students painted Bible verses, kind thoughts and inspirational quotes on simple ordinary rocks for the benefit of others.  Please look for these rocks when you are at the park, on the school grounds, at the library, etc… You may take the rock with you, leave it for someone else or move it to a new location!  Pay it forward with a kind gesture to someone else and spread kindness everywhere!

Grandparents/Special Friend Day

Grandparents/Special Friends Day was a huge success!! We had over 450 adults attend this event!! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped prep items prior to the event, our SMSA Staff who assisted in many areas, parents who volunteered at the event  & families who donated food and/or drink items!! We couldn’t have done it without you!! A special thank you to Starbucks who donated all the coffee for the event. 

Staff Appreciation Week, May 7th – 11th

Staff Appreciation Week is quickly approaching!  We are in need of your help with food and drink donations during that week.  On May 7th, we will be providing a grab and go breakfast.  On May 10th, we will be having lunch catered in by the Chameleons Food Truck, however will need your help with sweet treats and drinks.  Please use the links below if you would like to donate an item.

Parent Connectors End of the Year Meeting

Looking to be more involved during the 2018-2019 school year, interested in being a part of the Parent Connectors Group?  Come to our end of the year meeting on Monday, April 30th, at 6:00 pm in the Commons Area to hear about the this year’s success from our events.  We are also looking for some SMSA parents to join our board!  If you are interested in this, please contact Andrea Nuss at alnuss@charter.net prior to our meeting. We will be voting on the board at the end of the meeting.

Tickets for both events are on sale ($50 and $5, respectively.) Students can attend 1 or both events, as the tickets are sold separately.
The Post Prom Committee is looking for volunteers to help with games.  Shifts range from 10:30pm until 2:30am. This is a really fun way to volunteer, meet other parents, and your kid barely knows you are there.  It takes approximately 50 volunteers to ensure that the maximum amount of FUN is offered to the students.
