Elementary Physical Education Teacher

Position Title/Description: 

St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking a Full-Time Elementary Physical Education teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Requirements:

Candidates are required to possess a valid license to instruct in Physical Education within the State of Wisconsin. The ideal candidate demonstrates knowledge and practical experience in contemporary teaching methods and practices for Physical Education. They should be ready to collaborate with colleagues in our Phy. Ed. department as well as across other departments at SMSA. Spanish Instructor

Position Title/Description: 

St. Mary’s Springs Academy has an opportunity for a full-time Spanish instructor who will be responsible for teaching multiple sections of Spanish I to 9th graders and also a Spanish Exploration course for 8th graders. The candidate has a passion for teaching introductory Spanish and is eager to join our spirited faculty and community of learners. The ideal candidate enjoys serving teenagers, is collaborative with colleagues, prioritizes differentiated instruction and assessment, and can successfully integrate technology into daily teaching practice. 

 

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or education is required.  Ideally, the candidate shall have prior teaching experience, however, applicants need not be a licensed instructor. The successful SMSA teacher is a flexible, enthusiastic, team player eager to grow professionally and personally and can successfully collaborate with colleagues to support positive school culture. A practicing Catholic is preferred but not required.

REQUIREMENTS:
● Successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the school lunch program within a team environment.
● Experience working with children is preferred. Milwaukee Archdiocesan Safe Environment class and background check required prior to start date.
● Nature of work requires moderate physical effort, continuous standing, and ability to lift 30-50lb occasionally.
● Basic computer skills are necessary.
● Previous food services experience is preferred.
● Demonstrates dependability, punctuality, integrity, and desire to learn.
● Follow established procedures for work place cleanliness, sanitation and allergen awareness.
● Ability to learn and follow the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) requirements.

After School Child Care - Part Time

St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking an individual who desires an opportunity to work in a dynamic empowering environment with students in grades 4K-5 as a part-time supervisor for our before/after school care programs. Each of the three classrooms are custom to certain grade levels and activities associated with the range of the grade levels.  

 

A strong candidate is willing to work as a team member, collaborate with colleagues and complete the Safe Environment Education training. Person with experience in an elementary school and/or child care setting is preferred, but not required. Part-time (15-20 hrs.) from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and/or 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. on scheduled school days during the academic year.
