Long-Term Substitute Teacher - Religion Grades 7 & 8

Requirements:

SMSA is seeking candidates with a college bachelor’s degree as a long-term substitute teacher. 

 

The successful candidate understands and has experience in current practices and methodologies for teaching Middle School, Grades 6 to 8 with an emphasis in Catholicism.  The candidate must also be a team player, willing to be flexible and collaborate with colleagues, successfully integrate technology into the daily teaching practices and differentiate instruction and assessment. A faith- and values-based Catholic educator is preferred. 

 

Responsibilities:

The long-term substitute will teach clear learning targets for weekly lesson plans for elementary students; consistently implement instructional best practices; and facilitate instruction leading to successful student growth.  We believe quality people give students the opportunity to learn, develop character, and support a community of learners to grow closer to their purpose.

Coordinator of Academic Support

St. Mary’s Springs Academy (SMSA) in Fond du Lac, serving students in preschool through high school (PK-12), is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s): full-time Coordinator of Academic Supports for the remainder of the 24-25 Academic Year.

 

Requirements:

Applicants must be certified as a licensed instructor in Special Education in the State of Wisconsin. The successful candidate understands and has experience in current practices and methodologies providing academic support to students in any grade. The candidate must be a team player, willing to be flexible and collaborate with colleagues and capable of successfully integrating technology into the daily teaching practices; differentiating instruction and assessment. Training in teacher coaching, restorative practices and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies as well as a practicing Catholic is preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

This position oversees and manages system-wide academic supports, including but not limited to, Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP) agreements, Student Accommodation Plans, English Language Learner (ELL) plans and other health plans with academic needs. This role coordinates on-site evaluations and referrals to community programs, such as Special Education and private therapy. The Coordinator of Academic Supports is also an integral part to the success of the Multi-leveled System of Support (MLSS) by running team/grade-level meetings and coaching faculty and staff to support their growth as an educator.

Food Service Production Assistant

St. Mary’s Springs Academy (SMSA) in Fond du Lac, serving students in preschool through high school (PK-12), is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Food Service Production Assistant for the 24-25 Academic Year.

 

Requirements:
Successful candidate will be responsible for supporting efficient operation of school lunch program within a team environment. Tasks would include assisting Kitchen Manager with food preparation, a la carte offerings and serving of food; help maintain a clean work environment; and other duties as assigned in regards to food services. Nature of work requires moderate physical effort, continuous standing, ability to lift 30-50lb occasionally, and use of commercial food service equipment. Basic computer skills are necessary.

 

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – MTWRF. Previous restaurant food service experience is required. This position has the potential for additional hours and professional advancement in the future. Ongoing educational opportunities to further knowledge of the National School Lunch Program are available. A practicing Catholic is preferred.

Experience working with children preferred.  Nature of work requires moderate physical effort, continuous standing, and ability to lift 30-50lb occasionally. Basic computer skills are necessary.

 

Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – MTWRF during the school
year.  Responsibilities would include serving, point of sale and

Custodian

St. Mary’s Springs Academy is hiring a part or full-time custodian. This position supports the janitorial needs of the school including running equipment, sweeping, mopping, floor care, emptying trash and recycling, and various facilities duties as required including minor maintenance.  Hours are generally 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday with occasional weekends required.

After School Child Care - Part Time

St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking an individual who desires an opportunity to work in a dynamic empowering environment with students in grades 4K-5 as a part-time supervisor for our before/after school care programs. Each of the three classrooms are custom to certain grade levels and activities associated with the range of the grade levels.  

 

A strong candidate is willing to work as a team member, collaborate with colleagues and complete the Safe Environment Education training. Person with experience in an elementary school and/or child care setting is preferred, but not required. Part-time (15-20 hrs.) from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and/or 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. on scheduled school days during the academic year.
