St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking an innovative, forward-thinking Assistant Principal, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the PreK – 8 Elementary School. The position will work with the President, Principals, staff and faculty to advance a contemporary education vision based on Catholic values, academic excellence, professional development and continuous improvement.
The primary task of the Assistant Principal is to serve as the educational leader of grades PreK – 8 specifically in regards to classroom management and student behavior. The Assistant Principal is charged with supporting maintaining building operations, managing and coaching faculty and staff, and communicating effectively with parents/families to create a positive school climate. The successful applicant will understand and demonstrate the knowledge of best practices in curriculum, assessment and twenty-first century learning skills, exhibit an ability to lead and work collaboratively with faculty at all levels. The Assistant Principal is also a spiritual leader, both leading by example and ensuring that our Catholic faith is at the heart of all we do.
Candidates must be a practicing Catholic, preferably with a Master’s Degree in Education Administration, leadership or equivalent, and Wisconsin Principal License, as well as possess the drive and enthusiasm to provide leadership for the advancement of Catholic education in the greater Fond du Lac area. The successful candidate is a team player, flexible and collaborates with colleagues.
