Health Service Coordinator/School Nurse - Full or Part Time

St. Mary’s Springs Academy seeking part or full-time Health Services Coordinator/School Nurse responsible for assisting in the coordination of health services to SMSA students and employees. This position also provides assistance and care of sick and injured students, maintains health and medical documentation for the System and is part of the educational team for health education and promotion.

 

Requirements:
Successful candidate holds a Wisconsin State License as a Registered Nurse or a minimum of Associate Degree in Public or Community Health Nursing program as outlined by DPI. The desired candidate had experience working with school age children, staff, parents/guardians and physicians as well as being a team player, willing to be flexible and collaborate with colleagues. Practicing Catholic and BSN or MSN is preferred.

 

Part/Full-Time:
30-40 hours per week to be determined.

Instructional Aid for Grades 1-5 - Full Time

Requirements:
SMSA is seeking instructional assistant who will assist the classroom teacher in all aspects of shared activities. Person with experience in an elementary school setting is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate must be a team player and willing to be flexible and collaborate with colleagues. High School Theology Teacher - Full Time

St. Mary’s Springs Academy has an immediate opening for a full time teacher of high school Theology.  The permanent and contracted teaching position begins November 30, 2020.  SMSA is proud of its 110 year tradition as a Catholic school founded by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes and sponsored by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.  With 300 students enrolled in the high school, and more than 500 students enrolled in its campus elementary school, SMSA is a growing and dynamic learning environment rich in history, mission and identity. Theology is required of all graduates, and is taught every day at SMSA.  The instructor will teach courses in Sacraments and Church History to freshman students.

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor Degree in Theology, and experience teaching teenagers in a high school setting.  Experience in youth ministry is also valued.  To be certified within the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, theology teachers shall be practicing Catholics.

High School Math Instructor - Full Time

St. Mary’s Springs Academy has an exceptional opening for a full-time high school math instructor to join our spirited faculty and community of learners, beginning the 2020-2021 academic year. Candidate must be a team player, willing to be flexible and collaborate with colleagues, successfully integrate technology into daily teaching practices and differentiate instruction and assessment.  A practicing Catholic is preferred but not required.

 

Requirements:
Persons must be certified as a licensed instructor for 7-12 math (EA-A) in the State of Wisconsin holding a Bachelor degree in mathematics or secondary education with a concentration in mathematics. MA in mathematics is preferred.  The successful candidate understands and has experience differentiating math instruction, and is open to “flipped classroom” approaches.  Experience with advanced math education and AP courses is desired. The ability to tutor students who are struggling with grade level math is a plus.

St. Mary’s Springs Academy seeking substitute teachers and/or proctors at all levels, to perform the instructional and classroom management process or supervise/monitor a classroom while being instructed virtually, by classroom faculty.

 

Requirements:
The successful candidate is a team player, flexible, has a passion for education and students, is comfortable with technology and collaborates with colleagues. Substitutes/proctors should be able to problem solve, make decisions, and resolve conflict in a timely and confident manner. No teaching license required for a proctor. Background check required.

High School English - British Literature Instructor - Part Time

St. Mary’s Springs Academy seeking part-time HS English teacher for the 2020-2021 academic year, teaching British Literature classes (morning only).

 

Requirements:
Person must be certified as a licensed instructor for HS English in the State of Wisconsin. The successful candidate is a team player, flexible, collaborates with colleagues, sets high standards for self and students, successfully integrates technology into daily teaching practices and differentiates instruction and assessment. This person must have excellent communication skills and the knowledge and skills necessary to enable each student to master English as outlined in the state standards. Minimum of two years of teaching experience and practicing Catholic preferred.

Childcare Teacher- Part Time
