Performing Arts
Theatrical performances include a middle school spring music production (students in grades 6-8) and as well as two performances at the high school; a fall play and spring musical. All SMSA shows are run by our students including lighting and sound, stage management and hair/makeup. Actors/Actresses have the freedom to explore characters while learning different theatrical methods, while musical students learn various vocal techniques depending on the show. Technical students are professionally trained in designing and setting lights, programming and running sound, and hold various leadership roles backstage.
