May 7-11 is staff appreciation week.  The Parent Connectors and Student Council have planned a week of celebration and gratitude.  See schedule below how students and families can take part.

Week-long theme- Our Staff Makes SMSA SUNsational!

Daily themes and information:

SUNDAY- Staff Appreciation week decorating will take place at SMSA beginning at 4 PM.  To help, contact Rose Ahern at roseannahern@gmail.com or Andrea Nuss at alnuss@charter.net

MONDAY-Celebrate in a cheery YELLOW and tasty way!

All students, staff and visitors dress in YELLOW clothing, accessories, costumes, etc.  No leggings or tights. Sweatpants, jeans or shorts are ok. Breakfast treats for staff in Lauby Lounge.  

TUESDAY-Thank our staff for making SMSA sweet!  

Sweet treat buffet will be set-up in Lauby Lounge for staff all day long.  

WEDNESDAY- The Power of Flowers! Thank our staff for helping us bloom!  Students are asked to bring a flower stem or bunch. Blooms will be collected in AM at both entrances and distributed to multiple locations for all staff to enjoy.

THURSDAY- We’re grateful for our staff’s nourishment!  

Chameleon Food Truck lunch provided for staff during all lunch hours. Student Council and SMSA Families are sponsoring the lunch.  Contact Rose Ahern at roseannahern@gmail.com or Andrea Nuss at alnuss@charter.net to contribute.     

FRIDAY- Thank our staff for helping us shine

Cleaning out your student’s closets?  If so, hang on to those SMSA school uniforms that no longer fit and exchange them for other items. The SMSA Summer Uniform Exchange will be held Thursday, August 9th at Holy Family Hall.  Details to follow.

Several SMSA students and Coach Mitch Redig are teaming up with Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund to raise funds to make an impact in the lives of kids affected by cancer. Please click here for details and join us in making a difference!

Now that the snow has melted and the grass has begun to grow, it’s time to start thinking about one of SMSA’s major fund raisers – Swing Fore Springs and Summer Fling on Friday, July 27th!

Staff Appreciation Week, May 7th – 11th

Staff Appreciation Week is quickly approaching!  We are in need of your help with food and drink donations during that week.  On May 7th, we will be providing a grab and go breakfast.  On May 10th, we will be having lunch catered in by the Chameleons Food Truck, however will need your help with sweet treats and drinks.  Please use the links below if you would like to donate an item.
