Traffic Safety Concerns

Mary Hill Park Turn Around

Please remember, families are NOT to use the Mary Hill Park turn around to bypass turning left onto Cty Road K from Hwy 23.  We have been notified by the Fond du Lac Police Department that additional enforcement will be in the area to stop this from happening.  It is imperative families follow this route for the communities safety and not ignored for individual convenience.

Drop Off on Hwy K and Bus Lanes

Families are NOT to stop on Cty Road K or stop in the bus lanes as a means to drop off.  As mentioned before, this is for the safety of the community and not to be ignored for individual convenience.

Cellular Phone Usage

Recently, one of our crossing guards was almost hit by a motorist using their cellphone.  We urge you to please refrain from using your cellular device or anything else that could be a distraction to you during drop off and pick up.  Drivers must have full attention to the road and their surroundings for the safety of our crossing guards, students, faculty and teachers.  There is a lot of movement during this time and 100% focus is needed to ensure safety.

Thank you

Middle School Musical, Mary Poppins Jr. - April 12th &13th

The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many nannies packing before Mary Poppins appears in their living room. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other and the world around them. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.”

Forward Exam Information - March 27th - April 16th

Dear Parents,

Wisconsin students in grades 3rd – 8th and 10th will be participating in the Forward Exam assessment during the spring testing window.  SMSA is scheduled to take the Forward Exam assessment beginning March 27 – April 16, 2019.

The Forward Exam assessment tests all students in the areas of English, Language Arts and Math.  Fourth and eighth graders will be tested in Science and Social Studies as well.  Tenth graders will take a Social Studies Forward Exam.  One or more sub-tests may be administered daily during the identified time frame and it is very important that your son or daughter be in school during this time.  Students not in school on the scheduled testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window.

You can find more information, by clicking here, about the assessment including its purpose, what scores will be provided and how the scores will be used.

The Forward Exam assessment measures the knowledge and skills your student(s) should have acquired by the time they reach each grade level. Their performance on the assessment will not affect any of their current grades.  Please encourage your son or daughter to take the test seriously and do the best they can.  The results of these tests will be used to help school staff make determinations or placement in classes to best support your child(ren).

If you have any questions, please contact Steven Kelnhofer, at 920-322-8040.

Finding Freedom from Shame

We all feel shame at some point, but more often than not it comes from the devil. He wants us to be ashamed of as many things as possible—even when we didn’t commit a sin—because shame makes us feel unworthy and unloved by God. Click here to view this short video from Ascension Presents, Jackie shares the Good News of how God’s unconditional love can set us free from shame.
