Holy Family Men's Group- St. Ambrose

Join a great group of Catholic men to experience That Man is You programming, along with breakfast and fellowship.

Experience 8 new speakers, new personalities and new topics through a systematic and uniquely personal plan for every man, no matter where they are in their spiritual life.  This program will help men find the path to authentic spiritual freedom, the beauty of the Eucharist and the power of the Holy Spirit in action.
The events will be held Wednesday mornings, from 5:30-7 a.m. in the Holy Family Hall.

Holy Family Women's Ministry Kick-Off Event

Ladies, join us on Thursday, September 13th, at 6:30-8 p.m. in the Holy Family Hall for our fall kick-off event.
The evening includes:

  • A powerful and inspiring talk by Sister M. Deanne Niehaus about Mary, the Image of the Eternal Woman
  • An opportunity to sign up for women’s small groups
  • Witness talk from a small group participant- Cheri Sheehy
  • Snacks and refreshments with time for fellowship

Mission Trip Meeting

Fond du Lac Area Religious Educators are planning mission trips to Hammond, IN and St. Louis, MO in 2019.

The mission trip meeting and registration release dates will be held on Wednesday, September 5th, at Shepherd of the Hills.

Youth in Government

Kickoff Info Meeting: Thursday, October 4th, at 6:30 p.m. at the YMCA; pizza will be provided.

Sharpen leadership skills through public speaking, debate, mock trial, bill writing, and the formation of a press corps.  Meetings start in the Fall of 2018 to prepare for our weekend trip to the State Capitol in March of 2019 where we simulate a mock government in the actual seats of our Legislators and Supreme Court Justices.  Join hundreds of 6th-12th grade students from around the state as we become America’s future leaders

Program Components:

  • Model Government Session (3 day trip to the State Capitol)
  • Mock City/County Government Meetings at City Hall
  • Political Campaign Workshops
  • Mock Trial
  • Service Project
  • Murder Mystery Fundraising Dinner

2nd Annual Fondy Homecoming Dance Clinic for 1st-6th Grade Girls

Join the FdL High School Dance team coach and members for this fun filled clinic which will focus on teaching a variety of kicks, leaps and turns to incorporate into a dance routine.  Participants will improve coordination, gain flexibility and have the opportunity to walk with the High School Dance Team in the FdL High School Homecoming Parade.

Jui-Jitsu Club Open House for SMSA students - September 4th

The Fond du Lac Jiu-Jitsu Club is hosting an open house for SMSA students ages 12-17! Stop in to visit our gym on Tuesday, September 4th at 5:00 p.m. for a free tour and to participate in a free Jiu-Jitsu session! (There is no need to pre-register).  Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a highly effective self-defense art which originated in Japan and was practiced by Samurai Warriors.  BJJ was made famous by the Gracie brothers of Brazil.  The art of BJJ has been gaining popularity in the United States by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).  The primary focus of the art of BJJ is on-ground fighting, as 75% of fights will end up on the ground.  All family members ages 12-17 are welcome to join us for this free session!

Train like a Jedi! Padawan School for children ages 8-12

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to train as a JEDI? Well now you can find out! The Fond du Lac Jiu Jitsu Club is hosting an open house for its very own PADAWAN School for children ages 8-12, on Wednesday, September 5th.

Registration will be between 4-5 p.m.  Class will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  The goals of this school are to have students become more physically fit, build self-confidence, develop better attitude in school and gain a more positive outlook in life. The school focuses on strength building exercises, the use of a light saber, problem solving skills, science, confidence building and more!  Instructor Alessio Ziel has instructed various martial arts for over 15 years.  Some of his training includes: Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do and Kendo.  He will also draw from his degree in Applied Science for the educational portion of the class.
