Red Ribbon Jeans Day - October 23rd

As a System, we are celebrating Red Ribbon Day with a jeans day on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Students may wear a school appropriate shirt and jeans (no holes).

 

Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October.


Challenge Day - October 23rd

All Freshman and new High School students will be participating in the 3rd annual Challenge Day event hosted by St. Mary’s Springs Academy on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Hutter Gym.  The goal of this program is to build community and help bring awareness to the teasing and alienation that is apart of the school experience for millions of young people every day.  This event is a day of fun, friendship and new possibilities that can change the way people view each other forever.


Middle School & High School Mass in Hutter Gym - October 24th

You are invited to join us as our Middle School and High School students attend Mass in Hutter Gym on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 9:22 a.m. – 10:22 a.m.

 

Make sure to stop in the North Office for a Visitors Badge.


Picture Re-Take Day - October 25th

Picture re-take day will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.


Boogie on The Ledge! - October 27th

Boogie on the Ledge will be held Saturday, October 27,2018  in the Baker Gymnasium.  Tickets are just $7 or $9 at the door.  Tickets can be purchased in advance during lunch periods.

 

Don’t miss the chance to enjoy music, dancing, costumes, games, food and so much more.  There will also be a competition for the best costume and decorated pumpkin.

 

The class level that buys the most tickets wins a jeans/sweats day!


High School Yearbook Pre-Order and Senior Ads - Due December 1st

The time has come to order your yearbook for the 2018-2019 school year!  Forms have been sent to high school students through their homeroom teachers to order through the school; online orders are available.

Dishwasher and Banquet Set-up

Whispering Springs Golf Club is currently seeking a Dishwasher and Banquet Setup personnel.  Applicants must be 14 years of age and have reliable transportation.

 

Both positions are for weekend hours: Fridays, Saturdays and some Sundays!  Applications will only be accepted from those who are available weekends.  Must be detail oriented, reliable and have a sense of urgency.

Career Exploration Opportunites

Join The Fun Of Law Enforcement Exploring – October 23rd

The Exploring program provides students with an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of Law Enforcement fields with professionals already working in those fields.  

 

If interested, plan to attend an informational meeting Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fond du Lac Police Department, 126 N. Main St., Fond du Lac, WI.

Introduction to Business Professions Course at Marian University – Starting late January

Marian University will be offering an introduction to business course featuring weekly guest presenters on accounting, business administration, finance, health care administration, marketing, management information systems and sports and recreation management.  The class will meet one night each week from late January to early March. Cost is $50. One credit hour.

Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship – Deadline November 15th

The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship is available to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens.  Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.  Males and Females compete separately and are judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need.  

 

The application is completed online and must be submitted by November 15, 2018.

Lands’ End Starboard Scholarship – Deadline December 7th

The Lands’ End School Starboard Scholarship acknowledges and rewards students who display exceptional leadership skills.  Each winning student will receive a $10,000 scholarship.  Applications are being accepted from now until December 7, 2018.

Wisconsin Right To Life Essay Contest– Postmarked by December 1st

Students in Fond du Lac County, ages 13-19, with a belief in the right to life from conception to natural death are eligible to enter this essay contest.  1st place receives $300, 2nd place $200 and 3rd place $100.  Submissions must be post marked by December 1, 2018.

Annual Americanism Essay Contest – Postmarked by December 1st

Milwaukee Branch 14 Fleet Reserve Association is sponsoring their “Annual Americanism Essay Contest:  This years theme is “What Freedom of Speech Means To Me”. All essays must be postmarked by December 1, 2018.  This is available for students in grades 7-12. First place is $100, second place $75 and third place $50.
