From the Office of Steve Kelnhofer, P3 - 5th Grade Principal

News from the South Hall

Dear Parents,

You may have seen Love and Logic posters in all our elementary classrooms.  This week, I’m adding what hopes to be a weekly piece to our newsletter to help develop your understanding of the behavioral philosophy we use at SMSA.  The strategies and thoughts can be applied both here at school and at home.  My goal is to provide one saying from Love and Logic per week as a staple in our newsletter.

Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to support SMSA children in growing as a whole person so they can be leaders of tomorrow.

Love and Logic Wisdom:   We don’t want to rescue kids FROM challenges.  We want to give them skills to get THROUGH challenges.

SEE Training

With end of the year field trips approaching, if you have interest in attending your child’s field trips and chaperone, SEE training must be completed.

Please click here for more information on the evening class, locations and to register.

Fourth Quarter Mid-Point

The midpoint of the fourth quarter is a good time to check into Skyward regarding grades.  Skyward is a useful communication tool for teacher and parent partnership for the student’s educational journey.

God Bless,

Steven Kelnhofer

Swing Fore Springs Hole Sponsorship Opportunity

Swing Fore Springs & Summer Fling is fast approaching, Friday, July 26, 2019 and we are looking for your help. Parent, Grandparent and Guardian support is critical to the success of our events and we value your time and talents.

We would love for each grade to be represented at this year’s event as a hole sponsor. Hole sponsorship is $300. We would love to say hole 1 is sponsored by: “The SMSA Class of 2030”, and so on. If you are interested in participating, please send in a donation amount in a sealed envelope to Kristin Zitlow with your child’s grade level on the envelope. If the class does not reach the full $300 we will use the money to purchase a silent auction package that will be sponsored by the class!

If you are looking to get more involved we are also looking for volunteers to join our committee and to volunteer for the event. If you are looking to join the committee please contact Kristin Zitlow at kzitlow@smsacademy.org or 920-322-8006.  If you are looking to volunteer the day of the event, please visit one of the links provided below.

Please reach out with any question to Kristin Zitlow at kzitlow@smsacademy.org or 920-322-8006.  Please also be watching for your invitation and more information regarding Swing Fore Springs & Summer Fling.

Thank you for your support!
