Have a fun and safe Winter Break!
Dear Parents,
As a reminder, due to safety concerns, elementary students are to arrive at the campus shortly before the doors open, and are to leave immediately after their last class of the day unless they have permission from a teacher for extra help or a project.
Students may go to after school care. They may also reside in the South hall lobby to be supervised until 3:15 p.m. No student is to remain on the premises for the purpose of playing on the playground after school without parental supervision.
Thanks for helping us stay safe!
Third Quarter Conclusion
Third quarter will conclude on Friday, March 15, 2019. Report cards will be available online on Friday, March 29th. Please remember to sign electronically. You can access Skyward at anytime throughout the school year to view how your student(s) are achieving. Please feel free to communicate with teachers as well if you need to further understand learning that is occurring.
Winter Break Message
It’s recommended all students bring home their winter gear and gym clothing for break to get cleaned so we can do cleaning at SMSA.
God Bless,
Steven Kelnhofer

Looking to get involved raising money for our school and love books? Consider co-chairing our book fairs! Book Fairs are just one of the ways our Parent Connectors help raise money for our school.
We are in need of a co-chair for our book fairs that we hold in Fall and Spring of each school year. Co-chairs also oversee a summer reading program sponsored by Scholastic for the elementary students. As a co-chair you will assist in advertising, scheduling volunteers, running the sales, set up and take down of the fairs. Our fairs usually run for approximately 2-3 days. The profits we earn are then used to purchase learning materials for our school.
If you are interested and would like to know more, please contact Lisa Serovy at serovy@charter.net.

Would you like to become more involved with our SMSA Parent Connectors Group? If you are interested in helping with honoring our SMSA Staff each month, conference meals or Staff Appreciation Week, please email any of the parents below. Andrea Nuss, Valerie Everson, Katie Mathos or Jill Harmon.
We would love to get elementary school parents involved in these school wide events! We look forward to hearing from you!
