Christmas Break will begin Monday, December 23rd.  Classes will resume Thursday, January 2nd, 2020.  During this time SMSA will be closed, including the Business and Scrip Office as well as Child-Care.

When you use an effective technique, be thankful when your kid gets mad and throws a fit. This is how you will know your approach is working. Stick with it! In the long run, you’ll be glad you did!

MAPS Testing

Students from grades 2 – 8 will be taking the winter MAPS test starting Monday, January 6 – Thursday, January 30, 2019.

All students interested in being a part of this years 5th-8th grade musical, Children of Eden Jr., are required to attend an Audition workshop on Tuesday, January 7th from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. This workshop will help students have a better understanding of the expectations for being in a musical, how to have a successful audition, and will also be given materials needed for auditions.

Students should wear comfortable clothes and come with a great attitude! At this workshop, students will also sign up for an audition time slot on either Wednesday, January 8th or Thursday, January 9th.

High School Placement Testing for ALL Students who will be entering 9th grade for the 2020-2021 school year will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The test will be held at SMSA.

ALL current SMSA students and those that will be new to SMSA, must take the placement test.
