Chief Development Officer 

St. Mary's Springs Academy, a private Catholic School (grades PreK-12) located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking an engaging, dynamic and proven fundraiser to serve as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the system. The CDO will provide strategic leadership, direction, and planning for the ongoing growth of the system's primary giving platforms including the annual fund, foundations/endowments, future capital campaigns, and special projects. The CDO will develop a comprehensive plan including strategy, metrics, standards, and financial goals in partnership with the President and system leadership. The CDO will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of prospects and donors. This professional will work closely with the System President and Board of Directors to strategize on key fundraising opportunities and strategies. S/he will work with volunteers and staff to manage and execute prospect and stewardship events. 

Qualifications and Skills:
The  Chief Development Officer will be a bold thinker as well as a strategic, yet "hands-on" executor, who will help SMSA define its major giving efforts. As a member of the SMSA Leadership Team,  s/he will bring a genuine passion for the organization's mission coupled with deep experience driving fundraising success. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree; and 5+ years of experience in the development field. Additionally,  candidates must possess the following:

-Extensive experience in the strategic development of annual giving campaigns, major giving campaign, and/or endowment growth, and demonstrated successful execution of a campaign from launch to completion. 

-A track record of implementing direct fundraising strategies including prospect identification, individualized cultivation and successful solicitation of five and six figure gifts. 

-Skilled at building and sustaining excellent relationships at multiple levels with varied constituencies. 

-A confident and articulate communicator with the ability to work fluidly across all levels. 

-A charismatic, high-energy leader, who can talk with all constituents and successfully convey SMSA's objectives.

-An exceptional presenter and communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the natural ability to convey SMSA priorities in a way that builds trust and galvanizes support. 

-An inherent ability to listen, think and respond effectively to a variety of inquires and challenges, s/he will be able to remain firm and steady in delicate situations and in high-level discussions. 

-Will embrace and have a true passion for the mission of SMSA and the commitment to the advancement of Catholic education. 

-Must be an empathetic leader, treating others with respect. S/he will be an individual of unquestioned integrity, ethics and values; someone who can be trusted without reservation. 


Director of Intervention (6-12) / Blended Learning Coordinator 

St. Mary's Springs Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, progressive educator to lead a newly created position in grades 6-12. This professional will provide instruction and leadership in intervention and student services for students in middle and high school. The ideal candidate should have experience with online learning and blended learning for students, inclusive teaching practices, designing interventions, experience working with students with IEPs or service plans, and additionally, can lead meetings that are solution focused for optimizing student success. The primary focus of this position includes the following:

-Directs and leads online learning opportunities and intervention for grades 6-12

-Coordinates and leads student services programs for grades 6-12

-Provides oversight and support in inclusive settings

-Leads SST (Student Success Team meetings) in grades 6-12

-Identifies student needs in partnership with regular education teachers and plans for interventions with follow up 

-Progress monitors the students identified on the caseload with service plans, IEPs, building accommodation plans, and 504 plans. 

Special consideration for applicants with experience leading a department, has successful intervention experience, and/or blended teaching experience. Ideal candidates will hold a special education cross-categorical 801 license, and/or regular education middle or high school license emphasis on literacy and/or math preferred. Minimum 5 years teaching experience and 1-2 years of department leadership experience and/or experience with online intervention and course offerings preferred.
