HIGH SCHOOL:

 

  • Any 16 year olds who would like to participate in the Blood Drive next week, your permission slips are due to Mr. Thompson by next week Monday. See Mr. Thompson in room 3037 if you need a permission slip.
  • Attention students - there are football championship shirts available for purchase in the Development Office for $15. Sizes are limited. You can also order long sleeve shirts, hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts. Orders are due tomorrow. Please pick up form in the Development Office (room 1074)

  • Summit Automotive is seeking students for part time work.  They are in need of 2 students to wash cars and do lot work at their dealership.  Most positions are filled by sophomore-senior high school students.  The hours are generally M-F 4-8 and Saturdays 8-5.  Please contact Chris Olig at 920-979-5472 or colig@summitauto.com if interested.
  • The Counseling Office has received another scholarship.  The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation will be offering scholarships to residents of Wisconsin, public and private high school students, basketball program participants in their senior year and planning to attend a University of Wisconsin System school.

HIGH SCHOOL:

 

  • Attention NHS members. This is a reminder to complete the google form each time that you tutor. The form is posted on the NHS Google Classroom site. Please turn in your hard copy of your tutor log to Mr. Thompson by Monday, November 20.

  • Attention all students 16 and older. The NHS Blood Drive is quickly approaching. Don't forget to sign-up online to register for your appointment. Students who are 16 must complete a parent permission form.   • On Monday night 29 students traveled to Xavier to compete in the 2nd math meet of the year.  The highest score of the night went to Adam Ringwell, tied for 2nd place were Jack Sabel and Zach Welsh, and tied for 3rd place were Lauren Huettl and Rachel Peterson.  Thanks to all who participated!

  • A scholarship from Marine Credit Union is available in the Counseling Office.Recipient or his/her parents must be members in good standing of Marine Credit Union.
  • The Wisconsin Professional Police Association Scholarship is available in the Counseling Office to students pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in police science, criminal justice or a law enforcement-related field.

  • Fox Valley Healthcare Alliance has an upcoming Career Experience Event on November 6th at MPTC Fond du Lac Campus.  Time is 6-9 pm.  Sessions will be Nursing, Respiratory Therapy and Medical Assistant/Medical Office Management.  To register please visit FVHCA.org.  More information is in the Counseling Office.
  • A representative from UW-River Falls will be in the Counseling Office on Monday, November 13th during 6th period.  Anyone wanting to learn more about UW-River Falls should bring their planner to the Counseling Office to have it signed as their pass.
  • Ellington Mutual Insurance is offering  $500 scholarships to seniors who plan to attend a college or technical college.  To be eligible, the student's parents must be a policyholder of Ellington Mutual Insurance Company.
  • The next math meet is on Monday November 13th at Xavier.  The bus will leave at 4:30 and return around 9:30.  If you are interested in attending, please see Mrs. Anderson to sign up by Wednesday.

    • Michigan Tech University will be hosting a "Women in Computing Visit Day" on Friday, November 3 from 9 am to 5 pm.  Learn more about the world of computing.  
    • Scholarship available to graduating seniors who have participated in the pro-life movement in any capacity.  Preference will be given to students who have participated in 40 Days for Life.  
    • A representative from UW-FDL will be in the Counseling Office on Thursday, November 2nd during 1st hour.  Anyone wanting to learn more about UW-FDL or any of the 2 year UW schools should bring their planner to the Counseling Office to get it signed as a pass.

You’ve heard of the guys group, you’ve heard of the girls group, now lets bring it all together tonight for a Coed dinner and campfire for our Wednesday Night High School Fellowship Group the Uncorruptibles! Join together with your friends for a family style dinner at 6:30 pm tonight and stay for a campfire and Holy Ghost Stories behind school! Meet for dinner in the cafeteria at 6:30 and we will go from there. This is open to all High School students at SMSA and throughout the Fond du Lac region! Hope to see you there!

  • Tomorrow from 3:15 to 4:15 salsa lessons for all high school students in the (old) gym. You can come for the whole hour or just a little bit, in the beginning or end. Come and join us is free to attend!

  • Anyone interested in trying out for the Varsity dance team there will be Practice days next week Monday and Tuesday Oct 30 and 31st. Wednesday Nov 1st we will have final tryouts.

    All times are 3:45-5:30 in Hutter gym.

  • Students are encouraged to wear a festive costume to this dance. If students do not wish to wear a costume, then jeans/slacks are to be worn with a collared shirt. Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the night, as well as fun opportunities to win prizes for costume choices. If you still wish to attend the dance and were unable to pay during lunch last week, please see Ms. Fictum.  Any questions in regards to costume guidelines please see Ms. Fictum or Mr. Smith.  Guidelines were sent via email to all MS students and their parents.

  • Monday night, 30 students traveled to Oshkosh West for the first math meet of the year.  Zach Welsch medaled in the junior division.  Other top scorers were Adam Ringwell, Mario Moreno, Simetrio Arelleno, Cade Christensen, Jack Sabel, and Cece Rodriguez.  Thanks to all who came!  Next math meet is November 13th.
  • Meeting after school on Friday for any girl interested in playing soccer for the coming season. If they are unsure about the sport this would be a great time to come and ask questions. We will meet in the cafeteria and it shouldn't be more than 10 minutes.

  • HS students that have paid for a parking vehicle permit should see Mrs. Ellestad (rm. 1074) to pickup their car decal. To purchase a parking permit see Mrs. Ellestad to fill out the vehicle registration form.

  • ALL Senior Campus Ministers participating in the Freshmen retreat must attend a planning meeting either Tuesday at 7:30am or 3:15pm.  The meetings will take place in the Campus Ministry office.

  • Students are reminded to organize with ther classes to schedule their Powderpuff practices.

  • "High School students looking to earn some extra cash should stop into President Kelly Norton's office to pick up an application for a part time position helping our facilities department with cleaning, sweeping and general grounds upkeep.  This minimum wage position can be flexible with your academic and co-curricular needs!!"
  • If you're a new student to St. Mary's Springs your computer information is printed on the bottom of your class schedule. You must sign in to a PC the first time to set your new password. If you have questions, please stop by Mr. Wilkens in the student success suite or Mr. Miller in the IT Services area in the stairwell nearest the computer labs.
  • Attention Actors and Actresses! Auditions for the upcoming fall play "Amateurs" will be held on Tuesday, September 19th and Wednesday, September 20th. Please sign up in the office with a partner. Pick up a form to bring completed to the audition as well as a scene to rehearse. Interested tech crew members can fill out a form in the office and place it in the folder.
