St. Mary’s Springs Academy High School, grades 9-12, is comprised of 250+ students who reside in the North Hall of our stunning campus. The building includes four science labs, computer labs, and spacious art and music facilities. Each classroom is equipped with a CleverTouch Smartboard.

While we are very proud of our campus, we are more excited about the professional faculty and staff who have chosen to make SMSA their career home, and who selflessly offer their time and talent to share the minds and hearts of our youth. We strive to hire teachers who meet simple criteria: mastery in their subject area, an affinity for the high school learner, strong teaching skills, ability to differentiate their instruction, and a faith that guides their profession and life.

Our goal is to form well rounded students who have a solid foundation of knowledge to build on, a passion for self-emptying service, and a desire to continually grow in their relationship with Christ. We take this goal very seriously and are proud to serve as educators of students who will have a profound impact on the world.

January Term (J-Term)

St. Mary’s Springs Academy, consistent with Christ’s teaching, academic excellence, and The Ledger Way core values, offers students innovative classroom and experiential learning opportunities to actively engage and explore their own global interests, passions and curiosities during an annual January Term.

J-Term at St. Mary’s Springs Academy will spark student interest in learning through a variety of non-traditional courses. Enhancing SMSA’s regular curriculum through innovative styles of teaching and enrichment, J-term hopes to provide opportunities for interdisciplinary explorations, community connections, and service-learning, along with time to focus on social-emotional development and college and career planning. J-Term will highlight our school’s distinctive vision of student growth that is aligned with discernment of personal interests and gifts.

College Credit Opportunities

SMSA partners with Marian University and Moraine Park Technical College to offer high school students opportunities to begin earning college credit as soon as their first year. SMSA also offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses to help students accomplish the same goal.

Youth Apprenticeship Program

Youth Apprenticeship (YA) is a 1 or 2-year program that gives juniors and seniors in high school the chance to explore a career area of interest. Students spend part of their school day earning credit and wages while they gain valuable industry experience under the guidance of a local business mentor.

Some examples of where our students are partnered in the community include Excel, National Exchange Bank, Companion Animal Care, Dental Associates, and Agnesian HealthCare.
