A Video Reflection from Fr. Mike Schmitz

Hope, in the Christian sense, is often misunderstood.  It is not the same as optimism or presumption.  It is not the blind faith that we will go to heaven or the escapist way to avoid the troubles of this world.  It’s not the virtue we need to see the present moment with more positivity.  It’s more personal than that.  In this video, Fr. Mike Schmitz explains exactly why.

Adoration Volunteer Time Available

We are excited to announce we will be providing a weekly Adoration at SMSA in The Chapel of St. Mary: Our Lady of the Ledge.  This is different from previous years as we have had it only once a month.

What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is a practice in the Catholic Church in which the Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by the faithful.  This is a chance to get up close and personal to the true presence of Christ in our lives. Please click here to view a video for more information and testimonials from others and how they reflect during this time.

You can help!
As a requirement of having Adoration, there must be one person with the Blessed Sacrament at all times.  We are looking for SMSA parents to help out.  We would need you to come and sit in the chapel and be with Jesus.  You can read, pray, write notes to your children to tell them how much you love them or most importantly sit quietly and allow God to talk to you.  This is a great opportunity to get away for an hour and lose yourself in your faith.

Please volunteer your time and sign up for an hour and allow God to transform your life.

Click here to view the sign up page and chose which days and times work for your schedule.
