High School Music Department's Fall Concert - October 21st
The High School Music Department’s Fall Concert will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church (39 E. Follett St).
This concert will feature the Concert Choirs, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Vocal Jazz ensembles.

Red Ribbon Jeans Day - October 23rd
As a System, we are celebrating Red Ribbon Day with a jeans day on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Students may wear a school appropriate shirt and jeans (no holes).
Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October.
Picture Re-Take Day - October 25th
Picture re-take day will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.
All System Mass - November 1st
Our next all System Mass will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018. Please join us as we celebrate the Solemity of All Saints at Holy Family Catholic Church (271 Fourth Street Way) from 8:45 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
New Dress-Code Apparel Approved for K-12 Grade
Hoppers Silk Screening (77 N. Main Street) now carries two, dress-code approved, full-zip fleece jackets that may be worn to class. One is solid black and is available in youth and adult sizes for $32.99. The other item is grey with royal piping and is only available in adult sizes for $54.99. Halloween Reflection
Did you know that Halloween started as a Catholic celebration? “Halloween” is a contraction of “All Hallows Evening,” which refers to the October 31st vigil of All Saints Day, an annual Holy Day of Obligation on November 1st. This day is then followed by the Feast of All Souls on November 2nd.
These two feasts remind us of two important truths: #1, we will die and must embrace that reality. #2, Jesus has conquered death, and we can join Him and the Saints in glory if we repent and follow Him.
As we celebrate Halloween, we should keep these truths in mind. It is good to dress up in fun costumes, but we should avoid demonic and gruesome outfits that glamorize evil and despair, because we believe in the Resurrection and should never give up hope!

The phrase “dark night of the soul” is thrown around quite a bit in Catholic circles, but what does it mean exactly? In this video, Fr. Mike Schmitz explains precisely what is happening in our souls when we feel this kind of spiritual darkness, and he encourages us to hang in there when it happens; because it means God is preparing our souls for much greater things.
Made for More - October 23rd
The Made for More event will be held Tuesday, October 23rd at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Church (N74W13604 Appleton Ave.) in Menomonee Falls. This event is an inspired blend of live music, art and presentation that taps the deepest desires of the human heart reveling their ultimate purpose and goal.

SMSA Flu Clinic - Consent Form Due October 22nd
The Fond du Lac County Health Department will be offering flu vaccines at SMSA on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 1:00-3:30 p.m. The flu vaccine is recommended every year by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This program is provided at no cost to you. Students in grades 4K-12 will be able to receive the flu shot during the school day without a parent being present; if you feel your child will be cooperative.
The letter from FDL County and below. Copies will also be available at both North and South Hall offices. The signed consent needs to be returned to school no later than Monday, October 22, 2018 if you would like your child to participate in the clinic.
