Changes coming to Scrip

Our Scrip provider (Great Lakes Scrip) is making some changes. ShopWithScrip will soon be changing it’s name and rebranding to RaiseRight. A new website will provide convenient features that have previously only been available on the RaiseRight mobile app. You will now see one platform, one experience, one name.

 

All of your account information will remain the same. You will be able to access the new website using the same username and password you have been using all along. Lands' End Sweepstakes - May 2nd - 30th

Lands’ End is excited to announce our first-ever Back-to-School Sweepstakes, and we invite SMSA families to enter for a chance to win one of ten $500 Lands’ End Gift Cards for the purchase of school uniform clothing.  The sweepstakes begins on May 2, 2022 and ends on May 30, 2022.

Lemonade Day - May 7th

Lemonade Day is coming Saturday, May 7th from 11AM-2PM! SMSA’s 5th Grade entrepreneurs will have Lemonade Stands in the following locations:

  • Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac
  • Gilles Frozen Custard
  • Philly’s on 4th Grocery & Deli

 

We invite you to visit these stands, enjoy some lemonade and treats, and see what else these creative students have in store for you!


 

Book Fair Volunteers Needed - May 9th - 13th

We are in need of volunteers to help us set up/tear down and work sales during our upcoming BOGO Book Fair May 9-13.

SMSA Uniform Exchange - August 3rd

Have your students outgrown their school uniforms? Are you looking to swap with other SMSA families? Well here is your chance! SMSA is gearing up the the annual uniform exchange giving families the opportunity to exchange gently used uniform items that comply with the SMSA dress code.

 

The greatest needs for the exchange at this time are uniform shirts and polos, skirts, jumpers and fleece. If you have uniforms that you would like to donate, they can be dropped off at the North or South Hall office during school hours. Please help by making sure all uniforms are clean and free of holes, stains and torn seams.

WI 23 Expansion Update

Description of work: This portion of the WIS 23 improvement project will reconstruct and raise the profile of the existing four lane portion of WIS 23 from US 151 to Whispering Springs Boulevard and expand WIS 23 from 2 lanes to 4 lanes from Whispering Springs Boulevard to Seven Hills Road. Interchanges will be constructed at County K and County UU, intersection improvements will also be made throughout the corridor.

 

May 2 to May 6
The contractor anticipates working on the following items:

  • Continue grading westbound WIS 23 between Wisconsin American Drive and County K.
  • Begin shouldering operations on new westbound WIS 23 east of County UU.
  • Continue construction of the new retaining wall under US 151 along the westbound lanes.
  • Continue construction of the new connecting roadway between Hilltop Drive and Whispering Springs Drive.
  • Continue work extending the existing box culvert near Whispering Springs to the north.
  • Continue work on the new bridge at County UU.
  • Mill and repave Irene Drive from the new north connection to Whispering Springs Drive to Hilltop Drive.

 

May 9 to May 13:
The contractor anticipates working on the following items:

  • Continue grading westbound WIS 23 between Wisconsin American Drive and County K.

Traffic impacts:

  • Irene Drive: During milling and paving operations, please expect minor delays traveling through the worksite.

 

The following restrictions will remain in place.

  • Northbound County K to westbound WIS 23
  • Southbound County K to WIS 23
  • Southbound Whispering Springs to eastbound WIS 23
  • Westbound WIS 23 to southbound County K
  • Eastbound WIS 23 to northbound Whispering Springs

Seeking part-time assistance in the food service department

Interested in working just four hours a day in a fun, fast-paced environment? St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking part-time assistance in the Food Service Department for the remainder of the 21-22 academic year. Experience working with children preferred. Successful candidate has the ability to work in a fast-paced school kitchen, lift 30lbs, and possess some computer skills. Responsibilities would include serving, point of sale and cleanup. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

 

The candidate must be a team player, willing to be flexible and work with colleagues. Previous food services experience a plus, but not required. This position has the potential for additional hours and professional advancement in the future. Competitive benefits include holiday pay, personal days and partial tuition remission. After School Child Care - Part Time

St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking an individual who desires an opportunity to work in a dynamic empowering environment with students in grades 4K-5 as a part-time supervisor for our before/after school care programs. Each of the three classrooms are custom to certain grade levels and activities associated with the range of the grade levels.  

 

A strong candidate is willing to work as a team member, collaborate with colleagues and complete the Safe Environment Education training. Person with experience in an elementary school and/or child care setting is preferred, but not required. Part-time (15-20 hrs.) from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and/or 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. on scheduled school days during the academic year.

COVID Protocol Updates - Effective March 1st

  • Masks are no longer mandatory on public transportation. Therefore, masking on buses for all SMSA activities and events is optional and will not be required at this time. 
  • Exposure notifications will no longer occur. Quarantine and isolation guidelines remain the same.

May PPA Meeting - May 13th

Parents of the Performing Arts are excited to accept the 2021 St. Joseph The Worker – Excellence in Service Award from St. Mary’s Springs Academy! What an Honor it is to serve such a wonderful community of performers, teachers, and volunteers. We couldn’t be more proud and excited!

 

To accept this committee award we will be changing our May PPA meeting to Friday, May 13th at 5:30 pm.
