Scrip Closed for Spring Break - March 28th - April 1st

The Scrip office will be closed for Spring Break from Monday, March 28th – Friday, April 1st. Regular Scrip hours will resume Monday, April 4th.

Monday and Wednesday – 8:00 to Noon

Tuesday and Thursday – Noon to 4:00 p.m.

Friday – Closed

PreK - 8 Save Your Loose Change - Penny Wars - April 5th - 8th

A Penny War is coming Tuesday – Friday, April 5th – 8th for Grades Pre-K through 8!

 

Boy Scout and current Sophomore, Gavin T., is hosting a Penny War to raise money for his Eagle Scout project. He is planning to build a GaGa Ball Pit on the upper playground this Spring. More information on his project can be found by clicking here.

 

Penny war rules: 1 penny is equal to 1 point, but silver coins can be used to sabotage other teams. The grade with the most points wins a pizza party!

WI Parental Choice Program Open Enrollment 2022-2023 - Deadlines April 21st

The Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) online application is now open for 2022-2023. Parents will be able to apply from Tuesday, February 1, 2022 – Thursday, April 21, 2022.

 

The DPI requires current Choice families to fill out an application. Filling out the application informs the DPI that you want your Choice voucher for the following school year. If the DPI does not receive an application from a current family the Choice voucher is given to another applicant for 2022-2023.

 

New and current families must electronically submit their application at https://dpi.wi.gov/choice

 

New families must be income eligible to apply. The following income limits have been posted for 2022-2023:

1 $28,336

2 $38,324

3 $48,312

4 $58,300

5 $68,288

6 $78,276

For each additional member add $9,988

 

Families with students who participated in the Choice voucher program in the prior year are not required to provide income documentation. Proof of residency documents are required for new and current families.

ATTN: JUNIOR & SENIOR PARENTS – WE NEED YOUR HELP!

YOUR MONETARY DONATIONS WILL GO DIRECTLY TOWARD PRIZES. Traditionally, each student leaves with a prize. We will also have 5-10 top prizes.

 

If you are able to contribute donations of cash or checks (payable to SMSA Post Prom), please give directly to Stephanie Korb or Venmo (post prom in memo); @Stephanie-Korb-4. If donating through Venmo, please do not accept the purchase protection prompt as this adds a service fee for taxable goods which is not applicable.

 

Cash/Checks can also be dropped off at SMSA, but be sure to label envelope post prom & put memo on checks. Any amount is greatly appreciated!  All donors will receive an acknowledgement letter from SMSA directly.

 

To be well prepared, it is requested all donations be secured and received by Monday, April 11th.  Thank you for helping make this a normal, successful post prom!!

Stop Signs on County Road K

Oh behalf of SMSA, we wish you a wonderful spring break. Upon your return, you will note the recently installed stop signs on County Road K will be removed during spring break as they did not improve traffic flow nor enhance safety. Please continue vigilance with student safety in regard to drop off and pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

After School Child Care - Part Time

St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking an individual who desires an opportunity to work in a dynamic empowering environment with students in grades 4K-5 as a part-time supervisor for our before/after school care programs. Each of the three classrooms are custom to certain grade levels and activities associated with the range of the grade levels.  

 

A strong candidate is willing to work as a team member, collaborate with colleagues and complete the Safe Environment Education training. Person with experience in an elementary school and/or child care setting is preferred, but not required. Part-time (15-20 hrs.) from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and/or 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. on scheduled school days during the academic year.

K-12 Tuition Tax Deduction - Wisconsin Council of Religious and Independent Schools

Thanks to advocacy by WCRIS, state law allows Wisconsin parents to deduct private school tuition on their taxes. Under the program, parents statewide can deduct up to $4,000 per student in grades K-8, and up to $10,000 per high school student.

COVID Protocol Updates – Effective March 1st

  • Masks are no longer mandatory on public transportation. Therefore, masking on buses for all SMSA activities and events is optional and will not be required at this time. 
  • Exposure notifications will no longer occur. Quarantine and isolation guidelines remain the same.
