Thank you to all the faculty and students who volunteered earlier this school year at the National Honor Society bi-annual blood drive on November 29. Nearly 50 individuals volunteered to give blood and 39 units of blood were collected! NHS is proud to extend the blood donation sign up to community members during the next blood drive on Wednesday, March 28. Business News: Tuition Assistance Available

Tuition assistance applications are now being accepted for the 2018-2019 school year.

While filling out your taxes, please complete the tuition assistance process; much of the information on your tax return is used in the TADS application. There are many variables taken into account when affordability of tuition is considered.  We encourage any family, who thinks they may qualify, to apply! Every little bit of assistance helps!

Placement testing for the 2018-2019 school year for incoming high school freshmen NEW to SMSA, will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm here on campus. Please contact Kelly Mueller at 920-322-8012 or kmueller@smsacademy.org to register.

Katie Hellmer, the school nurse, is also looking for help with hearing and vision testing (see below). Also the parent connectors are looking for volunteers to help with their spotlight as well as winter carnival. http://signup.com/go/mUCaoiG.

Fond du Lac County Health Department will be at SMSA on February 5, 2018 to do hearing and vision screens on students in certain grades. I am in need of 12-14 volunteers to help make this day go smoothly. The times are still to be determined. The next ABC Meeting will be held Wednesday, February 7th at 6pm in the SMSA Cafeteria.
We will review the nominees for officers and trustees for the coming year. While all positions are elected, the following positions are expected to be open. The current holders of these offices are completing their service:
Treasurer
Secretary
Trustees (2)

These positions must be filled in order for the ABC to continue functioning in the 2018/2019 school year per by-laws. We need parents from grades 5th-10th to step forward and get involved.
