Holy Family is now hiring!

Holy Family Catholic Community is now hiring for its Christian Formation Administrative Assistant and Funeral Coordinator roles. The Administrative Assistant will work with those in Christian Formation to organize and support its programs and events, and help with background clerical work, including with Sacraments. The Funeral Coordinator will meet with bereaved families, work with funeral homes, and manage day-of coordination for funerals happening within the parish. The position is up to 15 hours per week, with the schedule dependent on the funerals taking place.

Support Holy Family Warming Shelter

Help to support the Holy Family Warming Shelter for a chance to win $10,000. The anticipated operating cost for the shelter this season is to be about $200,000. You can help us defer this cost by participating in our Holy Family Warming Shelter Raffle! Tickets are $20 each or six for $100. The top prize is $10,000, with additional prizes of $3,500, $2,500 and $1,000. Winners will be drawn at 5:30 pm on October 24 at the Holy Family Warming Shelter. Tickets are available to purchase at our Parish Office front desk and can be purchased online at hffdl.org/warming-shelter.

 


 

Are you an adult looking to become Catholic? Join our OCIA program!

Holy Family welcomes anyone who may be interested in becoming Catholic to learn more about the faith! OCIA (Order of Catholic Initiation, formerly RCIA) is for those adults who are not baptized, those from other faith traditions, and those baptized Catholic, but not raised Catholic. Come and learn about the true Catholic Faith. Sessions will start in October. Adult, Children’s Choirs return in September

This fall, raise your voice in song for the Lord by joining one of the Holy Family Catholic Community Choirs! There are several choirs to join including the Holy Family/Sacred Heart Choir, Our Risen Savior Choir, St. Peter Choir, and Children’s Choir (for children of reading age through eighth grade). Server Guild for Boys and Alter Guild for Girls Meeting September 7

Holy Family is happy to announce the establishment of a server guild for boys and an altar guild for girls in our parish. Guilds like this have always been a part of Catholic parish life, and they exist to help elevate our worship of God in the liturgy, foster vocations, and foster friendship based on the love of God among our youth. Beginning on Saturday, September 7, server and altar guilds will meet the first Saturday of each month at 5:15 pm at Sacred Heart Church for practice, formation, and fun. Please join us!

 


 

Emmaus Program for High School Seniors

Dear high school seniors: Are you looking to grow in knowledge of your faith and deepen your relationship with God? If so, then the “Emmaus Program” is for you. Beginning September 8, Fr. Kevin Tanel, in diving deeper into your faith through discussions on topics such as the Sacraments, the Mass, the Saints, and prayer. Classes will be held monthly and will begin immediately after the 10:00 a.m. Mass at Our Risen Savior in Woodhull. They will include a discussion on a particular topic, followed by prayer and fun. You are welcome to attend as many classes as you would like/are able to.

Holy Family Christian Women Meeting

The Holy Family Christian Women will hold their September meeting on Monday, September 9 at 6:00 pm in Holy Family Hall. There will be a potluck supper followed by the meeting. Packer gear is encouraged. New members welcome!

 


 

The Life of Fr. Caspar Rehrl

On Saturday, September 14, Holy Family will have a presentation given by Fr. Jacob Strand on the man who helped to shape the Catholic Church in Wisconsin. The evening will begin after the 4:00 pm Mass at Holy Family Church. A light dinner will follow the presentation, available for a free will offering. Altar Server Training and Pizza Party

All current weekend Altar Servers are invited to join us after the 4:00 pm Mass at Holy Family Church on Saturday, September 21 for an Altar Server Training and Pizza Party. Alter Servers will receive enrichment and pizza from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.

 


 

St. Ambrose Men's Group: That Man is You

Men of Holy Family and our Catholic community are invited to join the St. Ambrose Men’s Group for That Man is You! each Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 am in the Holy Family North Hall beginning September 11. The morning will include a full breakfast, video from the program and a small group discussion. This year’s theme, Apostles of the New Springtime, will cover medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive. Women's Ministry Kick-Off on September 12, 2024

Women of Holy Family and our Catholic community are invited to attend the parish’s Women’s Ministry Kick-off on Thursday, September 12, from 5:40 to 8:00 pm at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. The night will begin with the Rosary and Mass with Fr. Kevin Tanel, followed by refreshments and a social in the Hall. Maria Notch, founder of Mount Moriah Ministries, #1 best-selling author, speaker and expert on grief, will offer a talk. Come with Holy Family to St. Francis de Sales Seminary Dinner October 4, 2024

Join Holy Family for an amazing evening celebrating the priesthood at St. Francis de Sales 22nd Annual Seminary Dinner at The Baird Center in Milwaukee on Friday, October 4. Under the theme of “Zeal for the Lord’s House,” the dinner will celebrate the growing seminary as it welcomes more than 90 seminarians this fall. Tickets are $200 per person. Help us make Oktoberfest even better this year!

 

Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, September 28 in the Holy Family Prayer Garden. We have multiple opportunities for the community to help make it our best year yet! Makers Market will return to the festival this year. Holy Family has a limited number of spots available for any artisan parishioners to sell their creations. Vendors will be stationed in Holy Family Hall and begin selling at 5:00 pm. Holy Family also invites businesses, organizations and families to donate baskets to our Basket Raffle. Each basket should be worth at least $50 and brought to the Parish Office by September 18. Travel with Holy Family to Women in Christ Conference

Women are invited to join their fellow parishioners on the Holy Family Bus Trip to the Women of Christ Conference on Saturday, November 16. The bus will board in the Holy Family Church parking lot at 6:15 am, leave at 6:30, and travel down to the Brookfield Conference Center. The Women of Christ Conference provides women the opportunity to celebrate their Catholic faith with women throughout the area. The bus trip will cost $25 per person (an additional $1.75 processing fee if paying online) and St. Mary’s Springs Academy employees, young adults, and Holy Family staff/catechists travel free.

Volunteers Needed! Freshman to Seniors!

CMFDL is always interested in hearing from students who would like to volunteer at the museum. The week of Sept. 3-10 we have availability for many volunteers during our Maintenance & More shutdown week. Juniors and Seniors if you have late start or early release, there is availability during those hours, or after school there is availability! Great way to full-fill the J-Term Requirement!
