Pray for an End to Abortion With Rachel Rosary and Life Chain – October 3rd

In honor of Respect Life Month, Holy Family Catholic Community invites everyone to join in praying the Rachel Rosary at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3rd at Sacred Heart Church. The rosary is an intercessory prayer for victims of abortion and post-abortion syndrome. Following the Rachel Rosary, you can participate in the Life Chain – an hour of silent prayer for the unborn and vulnerable – from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on the corner of West Johnson Street and Peters Avenue. The event is sponsored by the Fond du Lac Chapter of Wisconsin Right to Life. 


Enjoy Springs Homecoming Football Game, Holy Family Oktoberfest With Holiday Automotive Shuttles – October 9th

Celebrate a day of faith, fun, and football on October 9th with St. Mary’s Springs’ varsity homecoming football game and Holy Family’s Oktoberfest. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., those who wish to attend the St. Mary’s Springs Homecoming Game at the new turf field but avoid parking on site can come to Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, where shuttle buses provided by Holiday Automotive will drive attendees to the game. Shuttles will run as needed from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. following the game and return fans to the Holy Family parking lot, where they can join in the parish’s Oktoberfest celebration! The event will begin with a bilingual Mass in German and English at 4:00 p.m. celebrated by Bishop James Schuerman. 

 

Following the Mass, the celebration will move into the Prayer Garden where guests will enjoy music from the German folk band, Dorf Kapelle, yard games, a petting zoo, basket raffle, 50/50 raffle, and visits from firetrucks and police cars. Brats, German potato salad, desserts, tamales, tacos, nachos, soda, beer and more will be available for purchase. In the event of rain, Oktoberfest will take place in Holy Family Hall.

Discover Your Gifts at Called And Gifted Workshop – October 30th

Come to Holy Family Church on Saturday, October 30th to participate in the Catherine of Sienna Institute’s Called and Gifted Workshop. Through this workshop, you will learn to uncover your gifts and discern your charisms, which enable you to be a channel of God’s love, truth, beauty, mercy, healing, and provision for others. 

Registration fee for Called and Gifted is $40, which covers materials, continental breakfast, and lunch. No one will be denied due to financial circumstances. A limited number of Holy Family parishioners can use the scholarship coupon code HFFDL$10 to receive registration discount. Pre-registration required. Let Holy Family send a care package to your student – Fill out Form by October 5th

Holy Family Catholic Community would like to send a care package to your college student! The parish wants them to know their Catholic family is supporting and praying for them while they are at college, participating in a year of service, or other immersive learning experience.
