St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 59 E. Merrill Ave, is providing a hot meal and also some hygiene products “to-go” every Monday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.  If you need or someone you know could use this, please pass this info along.  All are welcome!


Holy Family’s Faithful Citizenship to Wrap Up

In the final week of Holy Family Catholic Community’s Faithful Citizenship series, Fr. Fabián Rodas will discuss the Catholic Social Teaching of “solidarity” in a video posted to the parish’s Facebook page (click here), website (click here) and YouTube channel (click here) on Monday, October 26th.  Then on Thursday October 29th at 6:30 p.m., Fr. Fabián, will answer questions about the principle in a Facebook live Q&A. The Q&A will be uploaded to the Holy Family website and YouTube channel on Friday.


Holy Family Reconciliation and Mass schedule to change

Beginning the weekend of October 31st and November 1st, Holy Family will change to a NEW weekend Mass schedule. On Saturday nights, the parish will offer a 4:00 p.m. Mass at Sacred Heart, St. Peter and Holy Family, as well as a 6:00 p.m. Mass at St. Mary.  On Sundays, Mass will be held at 7:15 a.m. at St. Mary, 8:00 a.m. at Holy Family and Presentation, 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family and Our Risen Savior, and 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart. The noon Spanish Mass will continue to be held at St. Mary’s. Holy Family will no longer hold Reconciliation on Wednesday nights at Holy Family, but will offer it prior to the Saturday evening Masses, beginning an hour before Mass and ending 15 minutes before the start. Reconciliation will also be offered from 11:30 a.m. to noon on Mondays and Wednesday prior to the weekday Mass at St. Mary Church, as well as after the 7:00 a.m. Mass on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at Holy Family, and the 8:00 a.m. Mass on Saturdays at Presentation 


Blessed Bites Offers to-go Meals Each Week

Those in need can receive a free to-go meal every Monday when Holy Family distributes food at St. Mary Church, 59 E. Merrill Ave., from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.—or until meals run out.  If you are interested in contributing to Blessed Bites, please visit the Holy Family Website by clicking here, to see needed items, or volunteer to contribute a specific dish or item.


Holy Family hiring for Elementary/Middle School Formation Coordinator

Holy Family Catholic Community is currently seeking to fill its full-time Elementary/Middle School Formation Coordinator position. The Coordinator will primarily facilitate classroom Catechetics and Sacramental programs. This position requires flexibility, problem solving and pro-active planning with regular evening and weekend work. The Coordinator will report directly to the Christian Formation Director and work collaboratively with the Christian Formation Team. It will also supervise multiple volunteers.

 

Primary duties will include: organizing and recruiting volunteers and working with committees and the Christian Formation Team to plan and execute Catechesis for grades 1-8. The program consists of a school-year program, summer program and Vacation Bible School, plus preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion, and other duties as assigned and discerned.

 

A bachelor’s degree in Catholic Theology/Catechetics/Education or related field, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, work with online registration, and Excel in electronic communications are required.

Annual salary starts at $35,568.
