Holy Family to mark Memorial Day with Mass, Parish Office closure

To honor those who gave their lives for our country, Holy Family will offer multiple Masses on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, including at: 8:00 am at Holy Family Church; 8:30 am at Calvary Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Ave. (Rosary Walk at 8:00 am); and 9:00 am at St. Charles Cemetery, W4287 Golf Course Drive. In observance of the holiday, the Holy Family Parish Office will be closed on May 27 as well.

 

 


 

Orientation for Sacred Heart Lectors, Sacristans, and Eucharistic Ministers at St. Mary

Holy Family Catholic Community will offer a brief, 30-minute orientation at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2025 for all Sacred Heart Lectors, Sacristans, and Eucharistic Ministers to get acclimated at St. Mary Church.

 

 


 

Gathering for Past, Present, and Potential Holy Family Small Group Leaders June 3, 2025

Holy Family Brewing the Faith series for young adults to start June 4, 2025

Young adults are invited to enjoy free appetizers, grab a beverage, and connect with others who want to explore their faith in a more meaningful way when the Holy Family Brewing the Faith series kicks off on Wednesday, June 4! Fr. Matthew will share how young adults can ignite holiness in their dating lives at El Patrón Mexican Bar & Grill, 306 Fourth Street Way, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

 

 


 

New Holy Family Crucifix to be blessed at June 7-8, 2025 Masses

Holy Family’s new crucifix has arrived! Through the generosity of several benefactors, the new crucifix was designed to fit harmoniously within the church’s architecture and will be suspended over the altar, so it is visible to all entering the church. In celebration of Pentecost, Holy Family Catholic Community will bless the new crucifix at the 4:00 pm Mass on Saturday, June 7 and 8:00 am and 10:00 am Masses and 12:00 pm Mass in Spanish on Sunday, June 8 at Holy Family Church.

 

 


 

St. Peter Spring Cleaning June 9, 2025

Help give St. Peter a “spring cleaning” on Monday, June 9 starting at 8:30 am. All are welcome to help clean the church, including students. Come when you can and stay as long as you want.

 

 


 

Celebrate Juneteenth with All Saints Gospel Choir

In celebration of Juneteenth, the day when slavery officially ended in the United States, the All Saints Gospel Choir from Milwaukee will lead the music at the 4:00 pm Sacred Heart Mass on Saturday, June 14, 2025! Fr. Carl Diedrichs will also preside over the Mass. Please take the chance to listen to this fantastic choir and celebrate Mass!

 

 


 

Last Mass at Sacred Heart on Sunday, June 15, 2025

Holy Family Catholic Community will celebrate the final Mass at Sacred Heart before the start of renovations. You can help them mark the beginning of this new chapter in the church’s history with their Mass of Transition and Renewal on Sunday, June 15 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church. After this date, Masses will now take place at the following locations:
• Monday and Friday 12:00 pm Masses: St. Mary Church, 59 E. Merrill Ave., Fond du Lac
• Wednesday 6:00 pm Mass: Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac
• Saturday 4:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 and 11:00 am Masses: St. Mary Church
• Sunday 7:00 am Mass in Spanish: Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church

 

The Sacred Heart Adoration Chapel will remain open through 10:00 pm on Friday, June 20, 2025 and close with Benediction. During renovations. Adoration will be available at Presentation, which will begin at 5:00 am on Saturday, June 21. Adoration will take place every day from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm, except for when Mass is celebrated. Beginning on Thursday, June 26, the 6:00 pm Holy Hour in Spanish and 7:00 pm Holy Hour in English usually held at Sacred Heart will take place at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 705 Michigan Ave., North Fond du Lac. Beginning on June 20, all Eucharistic Ministers who serve Holy Family’s homebound parishioners will be asked to either pick up Holy Communion at Holy Family Church, or at Mass. We thank our ministers, and all of our volunteers, for their service to these ministries.

 

 


 

Camp de Sales 2025 Vocation Summer Camps

Middle school and high school-aged young men discerning a vocation to the priesthood are invited to join Fr. Michael Malucha at St. Francis de Sales Seminary’s 2025 Vocation Summer Camps at Saint Francis de Sales Seminary in St. Francis, Wisconsin.

Camps are as follows:
• High School Overnight Vocation Camp – Sunday, June 15 at 6:00 pm – Wednesday, June 18 at Noon
• High School Day Expedition – Monday, August 4
• Middle School Day Camps – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays, June 21 and July 19 and Tuesday, August 5

Holy Family is Hiring!

Holy Family is now hiring for a part-time Administrative Assistant. This position will work with the Christian Formation Ministry to organize and support its programs and events, and with the Worship Ministry to maintain and schedule Liturgical Ministers across our church sites. The person in this part-time role will help with background clerical work and record maintenance, including sacraments, Christian Formation program registrations, and more. They will coordinate baptisms, the parish’s Safeguarding program, and reservations and transportation for various programs, and the scheduling of Liturgical Ministers for weekend Masses, liturgical seasons, and special feast days. Help provide meals to children and families with Holy Family Summer Bites program

Thank you to everyone who has donated items to the Holy Family Summer Bites program that helps provide hundreds of meals every Tuesday in the summer to children, families, and other individuals in need.

 

If you would like to contribute the weekend of May 31 to June 1, Holy Family will collect donations of fruit cups, granola bars, and sandwich-size Ziploc bags to include with lunches. All donations can be dropped off at the Holy Family Parish Office during office hours.

Vacation Bible School returns August 4-8, 2025

Children will have a great time learning about God’s love for us with games, music, crafts, and Bible story time when Holy Family’s Vacation Bible School returns mornings August 4-8 at Sacred Heart School! This summer adventure is for children entering 4K through third grade, as well as for our Junior Explorers in fourth through sixth grade who help in the classroom and with the service project.

Summer Food Service Program in Fond du Lac

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a federally-funded, state-administered program that reimburses program operators who serve free healthy meals and snacks to children and teens in low-income areas during the summer months, when children do not have access to school meals.

Noon Kiwanis Walleye Weekend Volunteer Help Needed

Walleye Weekend is Noon Kiwanis’ largest fundraiser of the year, providing the club with the opportunity to donate upwards of $20,000 back to the Fond du Lac community.  Grab a friend or family member and sign up to help cover a shift or two! It’s always an enjoyable time!

Summer Art Sessions for kids at Art on the Town Wisconsin in Beaver Dam

The Hartford United Soccer Club is offering area youth the exciting opportunity to play academy and competitive soccer with Hartford’s premier soccer club. Serving communities in and around Hartford including Slinger, Jackson, West Bend, Germantown, Menomonee Falls, Richfield, Horicon, Juneau, Hustisford, Lomira, Mayville and Fond Du Lac, etc.

Back to School FDL

Families who are seeking school supplies assistance must register ahead of time for this program so volunteers can organize and prepare the supplies. Back to School FDL’s registration is online from July 7th – August 5th, 2025 (those who qualify for the assisted-lunch program are eligible to apply for school supplies).
