Among Us Catholic Youth Group - Thursdays

Youth grades 6-12 are invited to join the Holy Family Catholic Community Among Us Youth Group for games, small groups, candlelight prayer, and food. The group meets on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, (5th) Thursdays of the month throughout the year from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart School, 678 Western Ave.


 

Volunteer for Adopt-a-Highway - June 10th

Holy Family will participate in Adopt-a-Highway on Friday, June 10 from 9:00 to 11:00 am. If you would like to volunteer to help clean a section of highway, visit hffdl.org/event/highway to fill out a form.

 

Volunteers will meet in the Parish Office lobby and are asked to wear long pants and closed-toed shoes. Volunteers must be at least 10 years old and those under the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult.

Fr. Fabián, Fr. Alejandro Farewell Reception - June 12th

On Sunday, June 12, Holy Family Catholic Community will say goodbye to Fr. Fabián and Fr. Alejandro with a farewell reception. Join us in the Gathering Space at Holy Family following the 8:00 and 10:00 am Masses for coffee, water, and cookies, and a celebration following the noon Spanish Mass.


 

Corpus Christi Procession - June 18th

Join Holy Family on Saturday, June 18 for our Corpus Christi Procession through the Marian University Campus. The candlelight procession will begin at 8:30 pm at the Stayer Center, at Second Street and National Avenue, and process to Dorcas Chapel for prayer and benediction. The night will end by 9:30 pm.


 

"Signs of Life" Summer Book Read - June 22nd - July 6th

Fr. Edward Sanchez will host a Summer Book Read beginning in June with the book “Signs of Life – 20 Catholic Customs and Their Biblical Roots” by Scott Hahn. The book study will take place on June 22 & 29 and July 6 in the Holy Family Prayer Garden if weather permits (in the Fireside Room in case of rain) and be available at two times, 6:30 to 7:30 am or 6:30 to 7:30 pm. People should bring their own copy and will receive assigned reading for the first session when signing up.

Fr. Edward Sippel 75th Ordination Anniversary Celebration - June 25th

Join Holy Family in wishing Fr. Edward Sippel a happy 75th anniversary of his ordination and 100th birthday. He will be celebrating these milestones with a Mass at Holy Family on Saturday, June 25 at 4:00 pm.

Vacation Bible School

Holy Family hopes you will join them for their Vacation Bible School this year from August 1-5. Kids entering preschool – 6th grade are invited to enroll to explore this year’s theme “SonTreasure Island” where they will discover God’s love while learning bible stories, playing games, making crafts, and singing!

 

Kids entering 7th grade-12th grade are invited to volunteer.

Sacramental Preparation

If your child will be entering 2nd or 11th grade in the fall, remember that Sacramental Preparation is done through your local parish. Holy Family registration is open for First Reconciliation and First Communion by visiting their website at www.hffdl.org/em. Registration for Confirmation will open on Holy Family’s website on July 7, 2022. Please contact the parish office with questions, 920-921-0580.

Did you know … that kids can ride for FREE on Fond du Lac Transit buses to the Library every Thursday this summer? Starting June 16, they just need to show a library card for a free ride!

Back to School FDL

Back to School FDL is dedicated to helping Fond du Lac County families receive school supplies for their children so that every child can start the school year ready to learn. The Back to School FDL team fundraises, collects, and distributes school supplies to those experiencing a need in the community. The Distribution Day is set for Saturday, August 20, 2022. If pain has moved you from participant to spectator, call Aurora Sports Health to schedule a free injury evaluation. Performed by a licensed athletic trainer, physical therapist or occupational therapist, the free screening includes a pain assessment and recommendations for treatment or physician referral, if needed.
