This summer missionaries from 6th-12th grade will be journeying to serve the poor,
bring joy to the downhearted, grow in their Catholic faith, and learn about social justice.
Missionaries in 6th-8th grade will be serving in New Paris, Ohio from July 20-23, 2018.
Missionaries in 9th-12th grade will be serving around Charleston, SC or Hartford, CT
from July 6-15. There is still time to sign up for the Holy Family High School and Middle

Middle School Compassion in Action Club: January 18th
Need Service Hours? Come help make pillowcases for the homeless at the Solutions Center! As the individuals rest their heads, they will know someone cares.

Fondy Youth Baseball (Boys in Grades 5K – 12th)

 

Registration Options

For all registrations, player families will need to remember their sports engine account and password from last year. This would be the same account being used with other FDL youth sports. If you do not have one, simply create an account. Registration directions and help can always be found on our web site at www.fdlyouthbaseball.com.

 

1) Complete all registration from home- Go to www.fdlyouthbaseball.com and click on registration after February 1st- Log in and follow registration options. Select buyout (no fundraising option). Can pay by credit card on-line, pay offline by coming to in-person registration (print registration) or pay off-line by mailing check made out to Fondy Youth Baseball to PO Box 1131, Fond du Lac, WI 54936. Check must be received before February 23rd to avoid late fee.

 

2) Do all registration at home but select fundraising option to sell candy. Candy bars must be picked up at one of the in person registration times listed below. Complete your registration at home, print out registration, then walk in, pay, and pick up candy.

 

3) Register at in-person registration and we will have board members available to help walk you through registering on computers. This may involve a wait. Do all of your registering on-line at: www.fdlyouthbaseball.com starting February 1st.

9-12 Grade Rec League (New this year) – This league is for any player in grades 9-12 that does not play high school baseball or does not want to play in the Babe Ruth Leaguesame costs at 3rd-8th grade leagues

Babe Ruth League – This is a competitive high school developmental league. To be eligible to play in this league, a player must play high school baseball. Player cost-$165 with no fundraising options.

 

PLAYER FEE & FUNDRAISER

The player fee covers the cost of a shirt and hat, which players will keep. This fee is nonrefundable nor are shirts and hats issued to those deciding not to play. The annual fundraiser is very important to the overall success of the program. Fundraiser profits help keep player fees to a minimum; as well as help maintain and improve facilities, and the program. WE WILL NOT BE OFFERING THE OPTION OF SELLING PIZZA/CHILI COUPONS THIS YEAR. Each player is required to choose one of the following options:

 

  • Grades 5K-2nd – Player fee of $55.00 PLUS the choice of:
    • 2 boxes of candy (80 bars sold for $1 each) = $80.00 (Must attend in-person registration night to pick up candy)
    • Buyout with no fundraising: $30.00 in addition to player fee = $85.00

 

  • Grades 3rd-12th Rec Leagues – Player fee of $65.00 PLUS the choice of:
    • 3 boxes of candy (120 bars sold for $1 each) = $120.00 (Must attend in-person registration night to pick up candy)
    • Buyout: $70.00 in addition to player fee = $135.00

 

  • Babe Ruth League – Player fee of $165 with no fundraising options

  • If you have three or more children participating in Youth Baseball, the youngest child does not have to participate in the fundraiser/buyout.

  • UMPIRES – We are always in need of umpires and are especially looking for more adult umpires this year. Anyone that is presently in 8th grade or older is eligible to be an umpire. If you are interested in being an umpire, please email Jeff Hlavacka at jeffhlavacka@gmail.com
  • If you choose to purchase your own helmet, it must be approved by the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE). For more information, go to www.nocsae.org

 

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Saturday, May 5th – Opening Day/Picture Day – All teams will play a scheduled scrimmage following pictures
  • Week of May 7th – League games begin and season will conclude by July 15th (EXCLUDES Babe Ruth)
  • NEW THIS YEAR- For all rec leagues, 4th grade through 12th grade, we will be holding an end of the year tournament on the weekend of July 13-15. This will replace our playoffs. Please reserve this weekend on your calendar.
  • NEW THIS YEAR- We will be utilizing Friday nights for rainouts and some dates in May where leagues have conflicts with school activities on normal league nights. Rainout make-up dates will be assigned by Fondy Youth Baseball and will often be made up on Fridays.
  • Friday, July 20th – End of Season Celebration: Dock Spiders game & lots of fun events planned.
