Holy Family Women’s Ministry Presents “Morning of Grace” – January 16th

Holy Family Catholic Community Women’s Ministry will sponsor “Morning of Grace:” A Women of Christ Half-Day Retreat from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16th at Holy Family Church. The day will include Confession/Adoration; Rosary; Mass; recorded talks from St. Francis Borgia Pastor Fr. Patrick Burns, Holy Trinity/St. Michael Pastor Fr. Jacob Strand, and St. Charles Associate Pastor Fr. Nick Baumgardner. 

 

A light breakfast will be served. Childcare is available upon request by contacting Sabina at scarter@hffdl.org. Women’s Ministry small groups are now available at hffdl.org/women. Please contact the group leader for more information (numbers of participants may be limited due to room size and social distancing protocols). 


 

GriefShare to begin on February 3 – multiple Wednesdays

Holy Family Catholic Community will host “GriefShare,” a weekly support group and seminar designed to help people rebuild their lives after loss beginning next month. 

 

As each of the 13 sessions are self-contained, participants can attend GriefShare at any point and do not have to attend in sequence. The group will meet Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. February 3rd to May 5th at Holy Family Church.  To sign up, please call (920) 921-0580 ext. 128 or mdenzin@hffdl.org


Holy Family to host Respect Life Mass

Holy Family will offer a Respect Life Mass at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22 at Holy Family Church. The Mass is in recognition of the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children, which calls Catholics to pray for “the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life and of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion,” according to the United States Congregation of Catholic Bishops.


High School Formation – Prayer and Summer Youth Conference 

Holy Family Catholic Community offers weekly prayer for high school students at 7:00 pm on Thursdays. If you would like to get emails about the weekly prayer events, sign up here and select “Thursday Evening of Prayer Notifications.”

 

Interested in a summer youth conference? Watch this promotional video and fill out this interest form if you’d like to go with the Holy Family group at the end of June. Students graduating eighth grade to graduating 12th grade are eligible.


The Gift of Sunday Lenten Mission to take place at Holy Family Church

Holy Family Catholic Community will be hosting one of 18 Lenten Missions taking place throughout the archdiocese from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3. This Mission is based on The Gift of Sunday, a theological reflection issued by Archbishop Jerome Listecki. The evening will be held in the context of a prayer service and will highlight the importance of Sunday Mass in living out our faith on a daily basis. Fr. John Burns will present. Community Updates

FdL School District Lunch Update

Dear Fond du Lac School District Families,

 

All of our students and local children not enrolled in our District are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch for each school day through a special USDA program. These meals are now free until June 30, 2021, or until the USDA funds run out.

 

If you are remote learning, students and local children are able to access weekly meal packs on a pick-up basis. Families can pick up the weekly meal pack at the following locations: 

 

  • Chegwin Elementary School (109 East Merrill Avenue, Fond du Lac)
  • Riverside Elementary School (Gym Doors, 72 West 9th Street, Fond du Lac)
  • Sabish Middle School (100 North Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac)

 

Please note, due to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on January 18th, the meal pick-up for that week will be on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Wisconsin Right to Life Ecumenical Prayer Service

Please join us for the Fond du Lac Chapter of Wisconsin Right to Life’s Annual Ecumenical Prayer Service on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 163 18th St., Fond du Lac.
