Cor Jesu Set for Thursday

Join Holy Family Catholic Community on Thursday, January 6th, for a night of Adoration, Mass, and prayer at Cor Jesu at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Taking place the first Thursday of the month, Cor Jesu begins at 6:30 p.m. with Adoration and Reconciliation, followed by 7:30 p.m. Mass.


Come to Women’s Ministry’s Morning Retreat Next Weekend

Holy Family Catholic Community’s Women’s Ministry will host “Draw Close to Jesus” – A Morning Retreat Saturday, January 15th from 7:00 to 10:30 a.m. The day will include: Confession, Adoration, Rosary, Mass, breakfast, a talk on Merridth Frediani’s book “Draw Close to Jesus: A Woman’s Guide to Eucharistic Adoration,” a small group testimonial speaker, introduction of small groups, small group sign-up, and prayer.


Steubenville Conference Informational Meeting Set for this Sunday

Holy Family Catholic Community invites high school students to learn more about the upcoming trip to the Steubenville Rochester Conference at the informational meeting following the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, January 9th in the Sacred Heart School Basement. We will discuss details for the trip taking place July 15-17, 2021.

Parents Invited to Building the Domestic Church Session

All parents are invited to attend our next “Building the Domestic Church” Parent Session: “Leading your Family” from 6:20 to 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12th at Sacred Heart Church. The session will feature Fr. Justin Weber and Jeff and Barb Fellers and discuss how to lead your family in religion. As a parent you are the primary witness to your children. Learn how to model the behavior you want to see in your children, how your spousal relationship can be a witness to what you hope for your children, how to build virtue and reject sin to be holy, and how to stay committed to the Truth of the Church despite the draw of the culture.


Catch Children’s Liturgy of the Word Each Week Online!

While Children’s Liturgy of the Word is returning Holy Family churches on a site-by-site basis, each Friday you can join Fr. Edward Sanchez for our online Children’s Liturgy of the Word series available on our Facebook page, YouTube channel and website, hffdl.org. Children can also participate in a craft project through watching parishioner Linda Uselmann’s “Catholic Crafty Kids” which is posted to our Facebook page each weekend.

Come to Wellness, Safety Sessions with Mary Jo Neumann

There’s still time to register for Holy Family’s “Make Your Resolutions a Reality” with Mary Jo Neumann from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 10th in Holy Family Hall. Attendees will learn how to make and keep practical resolutions this year. 

 

Can’t make it to the session or looking for more health, wellness, and safety sessions? From 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on February 14, guest speaker retired police officer David Raddatz will join Mary Jo Neumann as he shares “Safety Tips to Prevent Fraudulent Activities.” A month later, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14th, Mary Jo will discuss “A Healthy Diet on a Budget.” To register for any of the sessions by calling the Parish Office at ext. 301.

Aurora Free Injury Evaluation

If pain has moved you from participant to spectator, call Aurora Sports Health to schedule a free injury evaluation. Performed by a licensed athletic trainer, physical therapist or occupational therapist, the free screening includes a pain assessment and recommendations for treatment or physician referral, if needed.  Click here for the assessment.
