This Weekend: Women’s Ministry’s Morning Retreat – January 15th

Join Holy Family Catholic Community’s Women’s Ministry as they “Draw Close to Jesus” in their Morning Retreat Saturday, January 15th from 7:00 to 10:30 a.m. The day will include: Confession, Adoration, Rosary, Mass, breakfast, a talk on Merridth Frediani’s book “Draw Close to Jesus: A Woman’s Guide to Eucharistic Adoration,” a small group testimonial speaker, introduction of small groups, small group sign-up, and prayer.


Devoted Marriage Retreat – February 19th

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s Galilee U is hosting a Devoted Marriage Retreat in Slinger on Saturday, February 19th from 9:00 am to noon at St Peter’s Church (optional Mass at 8:00 am and adoration and confession at noon). Catholic marriage needs enrichment, renewal, and a deeper understanding of having Christ at the center. This retreat is designed to help married couples of all ages encounter Christ through the beautiful gift of forgiveness in sacramental marriage. Blessed Bites – Tuesday Evenings

Anyone in need of a meal is welcome to come to St. Mary’s Church, 59 E. Merrill Ave., every Tuesday to receive a free to-go meal, as well as other household items through Holy Family Catholic Community’s Blessed Bites program. Doors are open from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.- or until meals are gone.


Holy Family Seeking Volunteers To Help Parishioners With Shoveling, Other Tasks

Getting out and about in winter to do outdoor tasks or pick up necessities can be difficult for some. Understanding this, Holy Family Catholic Community continues to invite parishioners who are in need of assistance on a volunteer basis with various tasks such as shoveling, transportation, housekeeping, or running errands to sign up for its Neighbors in Faith program. To sign up, fill out the following JotForm at bit.ly/helpHF. If you are interested in volunteering to help out with such tasks, submit the following form at bit.ly/HFneighbors. Aurora Free Injury Evaluation

If pain has moved you from participant to spectator, call Aurora Sports Health to schedule a free injury evaluation. Performed by a licensed athletic trainer, physical therapist or occupational therapist, the free screening includes a pain assessment and recommendations for treatment or physician referral, if needed.  Click here for the assessment.
