Parent-Only Meeting For First Communion Preparation 

Holy Family Catholic Community will hold a parent-only meeting for those with children participating in the 2021-2022 First Communion Preparation Program on Wednesday, February 9th. The talk will take place from 6:20 to 7:20 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Childcare is available for children age 3 and older in the Sacred Heart School Gym.  


Cor Jesu – Blessing Of The Throats To Take Place During Night – February 3rd

Join Holy Family Catholic Community on Thursday, February 3rd for a night of Adoration, Mass and prayer at Cor Jesu at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. 

 

Taking place the first Thursday of the month, Cor Jesu begins at 6:30 p.m. with Adoration and Reconciliation, followed by 7:30 p.m. Mass.

That day, the parish will also offer a blessing of the throats in honor of the feast day of St. Blaise of Sebaste, the patron saint of throat ailments. The blessing will take place on Thursday at the 7:00 a.m. Mass at Holy Family and during the 7:30 p.m. Mass at Presentation as part of Cor Jesu. 


Blood Drive – February 9th

Donate blood and help to save a life at the Holy Family Catholic Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, February 9th from noon to 5:00 p.m. in Holy Family Hall. Social distancing will be in place, and those who donate are asked to wear masks. Donors will receive a limited-edition pair of Versiti socks while supplies last.

Sign Up For Fraud Safety Session – February 14th

There is still time to sign up for Holy Family Catholic Community’s “Safety Tips to Prevent Fraudulent Activities” session featuring Mary Jo Neumann and guest speaker and retired police officer, David Raddatz, on Monday, February 14th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Hall.

Devoted Marriage Retreat – February 19th

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s Galilee U is hosting a Devoted Marriage Retreat in Slinger on Saturday, February 19th from 9:00 a.m. to noon at St Peter’s Church (optional Mass at 8:00 a.m., Adoration and confession at noon). 

 

Catholic marriage needs enrichment, renewal and a deeper understanding of having Christ at the center. Join us for a retreat designed to help married couples of all ages encounter Christ through the beautiful gift of forgiveness in sacramental marriage. Watch Children’s Liturgy of The Word Each Week Online!

While Children’s Liturgy of the Word is returning to Holy Family churches on a site-by-site basis, each Friday you can join Fr. Edward Sanchez for Holy Family Catholic Community’s online Children’s Liturgy of the Word series available on its Facebook page, YouTube channel, and website

 

Children can also participate in a craft project through watching parishioner Linda Uselmann’s “Catholic Crafty Kids” which is posted to Holy Family’s Facebook page each weekend.

If pain has moved you from participant to spectator, call Aurora Sports Health to schedule a free injury evaluation.
