Help for the Homeless Drive Through March 7th

Holy Family Catholic Community is taking part in the Family Radio 101.7 FM’s Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive to collect items for area crisis agencies including Solutions Center Shelter & Support Services, The Salvation Army, New Beginnings, Beacon House, and ADVOCAP Homeless Program. Supplies needed include: cleaning supplies, feminine products, bathroom tissue, hair care, deodorant, dental care, laundry soap, body lotion, kitchen trash bags, paper towels, face/bath soap, and diapers/baby care. Boxes are available at each Holy Family site to collect donations through Sunday, March 7th.


Men of Christ 2021 Virtual Conference: “Live Truth. Defend Truth.” – March 20th

Holy Family Catholic Community’s St. Ambrose Men’s Group will host Men of Christ’s 2021 Virtual Conference “Live Truth. Defend Truth.” from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021. The morning will include Mass, reflection, confession, adoration/benediction and virtual talks from Kevin O’Brien of Our United Focus; Pro-life speaker Jason Jones; Chris Stefanick of RealLife Catholic; and Archbishop Jerome Listecki. 

The registration fee is $10 for adults and $5 for students for food and drink. People will not be turned away if they are unable to pay. To register, visit the hffdl.org/Men.


Holy Family Parish Mission with Katie Patrizio – March 7th – March 9th

Join Holy Family Catholic community as it welcomes mission speaker Katie Patrizio at 6:30 p.m. from March 7th – 9th at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. In her Mission, “To The Heights,” Patrizio will focus on different parts of the Bible guided by the Covenants, and explain how they are “the story of God’s love.” Childcare is available upon request by contacting Sabina at scarter@hffdl.org. Livestream will be available at the time/day of the event only.


The Gift of Sunday Lenten Mission 

Holy Family Catholic Community will host one of 18 Lenten Missions taking place throughout the archdiocese from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3rd. This Mission is based on The Gift of Sunday, a theological reflection issued by Archbishop Jerome Listecki. The evening will be held in the context of a prayer service and highlight the importance of Sunday Mass in living out our faith on a daily basis. Fr. John Burns will present.

Vatican’s International Exhibition of Eucharistic Miracles of the World and Sacred Cloths of the Passion come to Holy Family

Learn about miracles, scientific studies, the Shroud of Turin and more at the Vatican’s International Exhibition of Eucharistic Miracles of the World and the Sacred Cloths of the Passion Exhibit presented by Faith Based Communications!

 

The two separate exhibitions and presentations will come to Holy Family Catholic Community the fourth week of March. 

Presentations on the miracles will be offered at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 22nd and 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23rd in the Holy Family Church Hall. Presentations on the Sacred Cloths, including the Sudarium of Oviedo and Tunic of Argenteuil, will take place 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23rd and 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday. March 24th. Registration is required for both the presentations at hffdl.org/retreats/.

 

The Eucharistic Miracle exhibits will be open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 22nd and 7:45 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. March 23rd. The Passion exhibit will be open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday March 23rd and 7:45 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24th. No registration is required to attend the exhibit.
