High School Yearbook Pre-Order and Senior Ads - Due December 1st

The time has come to order your yearbook for the 2018-2019 school year!  Forms have been sent to high school students through their homeroom teachers to order through the school; online orders are available.

The Son's of St. John

The Sons of St. John is a High School men’s group which meets once a month at Sacred Heart school basement to talk man stuff, eat manly pizza, and drink manly chocolate milk.  This club is open to any High School guy that wants to know how to become a man of God. This year we will be watching Be A Man by Fr. Larry Richards. The program is awesome and engaging and will go through the steps of how to become a man after God’s own heart.  
When: The second Wednesday of each month 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Where: Sacred Heart Church basement
Why: Because guys hang out in basements

Whispering Springs Golf Club is currently seeking a Dishwasher and Banquet Setup personnel.  Applicants must be 14 years of age and have reliable transportation.

 

Both positions are for weekend hours: Fridays, Saturdays and some Sundays!  Applications will only be accepted from those who are available weekends.  Must be detail oriented, reliable and have a sense of urgency.

Join The Fun Of Law Enforcement Exploring – October 23rd

The Exploring program provides students with an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of Law Enforcement fields with professionals already working in those fields.  

 

If interested, plan to attend an informational meeting Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fond du Lac Police Department, 126 N. Main St., Fond du Lac, WI.

Introduction to Business Professions Course at Marian University – Starting late January

Marian University will be offering an introduction to business course featuring weekly guest presenters on accounting, business administration, finance, health care administration, marketing, management information systems and sports and recreation management.  The class will meet one night each week from late January to early March. Cost is $50. One credit hour.

Receive assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on Wednesday, October 17th at 6 p.m. at Marian University’s Stayer Center.  The FAFSA form must be completed to get help paying for college.

Lands’ End Starboard Scholarship – Deadline December 7th

The Lands’ End School Starboard Scholarship acknowledges and rewards students who display exceptional leadership skills.  Each winning student will receive a $10,000 scholarship.  Applications are being accepted from now until December 7, 2018.

Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship – Deadline November 15th

The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship is available to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens.  Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.  Males and Females compete separately and are judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need.  

 

The application is completed online and must be submitted by November 15, 2018.

St. Norbert College Music Scholarship Audition Dates – January 26th & February 16th

A representative from UW Fond du Lac and UW Green Bay will be in the Counseling Office on Thursday, October 11th.  UW Green Bay will be here during 2nd hour and UW Fond du Lac will be here during 7th hour.

 

Students should get a pass in the Counseling Office if wanting to learn more about either of these Institutions.

Milwaukee Portfolio Day – October 13th

UW Oshkosh offers ACT Test Prep – Starting October 13th

ACT Test Prep is being offered by UW Oshkosh on Saturdays beginning October 13th through November 17th from 9 a.m. – Noon on the UW Oshkosh campus.  Cost is $200.  The winter session is from January 12 -February 16, 2019 or complete the prep course 100% online.  Visit them online by clicking here or call 920-424-1129.


Annual Americanism Essay Contest – Postmarked by December 1st

Milwaukee Branch 14 Fleet Reserve Association is sponsoring their “Annual Americanism Essay Contest:  This years theme is “What Freedom of Speech Means To Me”. All essays must be postmarked by December 1, 2018.  This is available for students in grades 7-12. First place is $100, second place $75 and third place $50.
