High School Personnel Update

Ms. Johnna Knoke, part-time Spanish I teacher, will be leaving SMSA after November 22nd.   Ms. Knoke has accepted a new full-time role directing an ESL program for a public school district. We congratulate Ms. Knoke, thank her for her service and wish her well in future endeavors. Concurrently we welcome Mrs. Elizabeth Gonzalez to the Springs as a long-term substitute in Spanish.

Mr. Jacob Norlander has been serving SMSA part-time as a high school social studies teacher since September.  We are pleased to announce that beginning December 1, Mr. Norlander’s role will be expanding to full-time as he has accepted the invitation to support master scheduling functions for grades 6-12 at SMSA. Congratulations and thank you to Mr. Norlander!

Thanksgiving

We continue to be grateful for the opportunities provided through the dedicated staff and faculty of SMSA and for the students who daily bring the Springs to life with their youthful energy, curiosity, creativity, and hard work.  We are grateful for the meaningful partnership with parents, alumni, and the many generous benefactors who support and enable excellence at SMSA. We are grateful for the opportunity for daily prayer, weekly Mass and a holistic approach to student development that is the hallmark of Catholic education.

God is great, all the time.  God’s grace is very evident to me every day on the Ledge.  As we continue our aim to affirm, believe and care for one another, I am grateful to our good Lord for the opportunity to be a part of this exceptional learning and faith community.  May God bless your hearts and homes this Thanksgiving.
