The Student Council is sponsoring a hygiene collection until Monday, March 11, 2019 for ADVOCAP.  This is a city-wide effort, The Help for Homeless, hygiene drive will be a class driven competition.

The winning class will receive an ice cream treat.

Session: ACT PREP COURSE 2019

The UW Fond du Lac ACT Prep Course will take place Saturday, March 16, 23 and 30, 2019.  Total contact hours will be 12 hours.

Dates and Subject:

March 16th (Intro/English/Reading/Writing) 8 a.m. – 12 noon

March 23rd (Science/Math) 8 a.m. – 12 noon

March 30th (Practice Test) 8 a.m. – 12 noon

This course is designed to assist students in time for upcoming testing dates.

• Take this course when you need it most, just prior to taking the actual ACT exam, so you are less likely to forget what you have learned.
• Pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses by taking a diagnostic practice test to determine what areas you need to brush-up on before taking the actual exam.

During Lent (from now until Thursday, April 18, 2019) The National Junior Honor Society will be organizing the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Rice Bowl fundraiser for grades 6 – 12.  CRS Rice Bowl is a faith-in-action program that offers each of us to engage, on a daily basis, with the Spiritual Pillars of Lent: prayer, fasting and almsgiving.  NJHS members will distribute a “rice bowl” to every classroom, grades 6-12.  Donations of spare change or better yet, change given in honor of those in our world who suffer and need our support, can be placed in the little box. 

Please send your child/children with spare change to donate to the fundraiser from now until April 18th.

UW Oshkosh Career Exploration

UW Oshkosh is offering academies this summer to give experience of life on campus and higher education, exposure to potential educational/career fields through real-life, hands-on activities and opportunities to connect with professionals working in the career fields. Joan Setser Scholarship

Mr. Charles Setser, a long-time member of Holy Family Catholic Community, has created a scholarship opportunity for four St. Mary’s Springs Academy current eighth grade students, who will be enrolled in the ninth grade at St. Mary’s Springs Academy for the 2019-2020 school year, and who, along with their parents/guardians, are active members of Holy Family Catholic Community.  Mr. Setser designated this scholarship in memory of his wife, Joan Setser, who passed away in 2017.
