From the Office of Eamonn O'Keeffe: High School Principal

Happy Catholic Schools Week!

From Sunday, January 26th to Saturday, February 1st, national Catholic Schools Week (CSW) will celebrate the many contributions of Catholic education across our nation. Of course, the success of Catholic schools relies on many key factors. It begins with adults who are ultimately the architects of school climate and culture. This includes committed parents, volunteers and benefactors who desire a strong Catholic education for children. Every successful Catholic school also requires a talented and caring team of faculty, staff and school leadership who are united around Catholic mission, core values, and worldview that enables the school’s community to develop, thrive and improve. It is the unending curiosity, goodwill and gifts of students that really make Catholic schools perform so well. At SMSA, our Ledgers are committed to learning, to character development, and to the possibilities of spiritual growth, physical education and intellectual challenges. Each day on the Ledge, I see students ‘getting after’ the challenges of rigorous classroom learning as well as their favorite school activities through which they build community and character.

Catholic Schools Week is always a little bit disruptive in its day to day celebrations. Yet, it is the irregular cadence of the week that gives us time to truly observe and appreciate the amazing gift of Catholic schools, and most especially our Springs community. Thank you parents for all that you do in partnership with teachers, staff, coaches and leaders to support St. Mary’s Springs Academy to be a great Catholic school!

Finally, at the link provided, I urge you to read the remarks of our new Archbishop Jeffeey Grob and his perspective on Catholic Schools Week!

J-Term '25 Survey

J-term ‘is a wrap’ for another year! At this time, we invite all high school parents and guardians to provide valued feedback to us in this important annual survey of the program. The feedback will help us assess the areas of success and opportunities for change and growth. Thank you in advance for completing this anonymous survey by February 7th. It is an important tool as we strive for continuous improvement. J-Term ’25 Comprehensive Survey.

Our Lady of the Ledge, Pray for us.

Get involved with our Parent Connectors Group!!

Are you wanting to get more involved in our Parent Connectors Group? If so, look for the Parent Connectors volunteer form in your packet you will be receiving at the supply drop off day (3K-5th Grade). If your youngest child is in 6th grade or above, you won’t be receiving a form to fill out but can email Andrea Nuss, alnuss@charter.net, to share that you are interested in being a part of our group. Every year a new email group gets created so please submit your form even if you have done so in the past years. Also, only one form per family is needed to be filled out. Throughout the year, our group has various school family events as well shows our amazing SMSA Staff how appreciative we are for them. By being a part of our group, you will receive emails that shares ways you can help with these events through volunteering and donating. Our group wouldn’t be a successful without all of the wonderful people involved in it. Thank you so much! If you have any questions, please email Andrea Nuss, alnuss@charter.net.
