From the office of Dr. Julie Shively, EdD - 6-12 grade Principal

Semester One Exam Schedule and Guidelines

Exam week is almost upon us!

I want to let you know the schedule and expectations for your child so everyone can plan for that week.  Some exams may be projects or essays, while the bulk will be the traditional exam format.  Your child’s teachers will provide semester reviews and study guides so they can begin to review the content.  Please note, if your child has any outstanding or missing work, it will not be accepted after January 10, 2019!  This is to allow teachers the time to grade the assignments and return them before the exams.

We want to replicate the expectations that the students are use to during the year. Therefore, students will take their exams in uniform and attendance will be taken at the beginning of each exam period.

To give the teachers time to prepare, students will not be permitted upstairs or in the rooms until ten minutes prior to each exam time.  If they arrive early, they will remain downstairs until ten minutes prior.  Students only need to be at school during the time of their exams.

Students may not rearrange their exam schedule for their convenience. Students who require exam changes or additional time will work with Student Services.  If there is a different need for changing an exam to a different time/day, please send a written and signed request to the North Office no later than January 7, 2019.  If an emergency arises between January 7, 2019 and the time of the exam, please notify the North Office immediately so we can arrange a different time/date with the teacher.  Students who miss an exam with an unexcused absence, including arriving to school after the exam has begun, will not be permitted to make up the exam.

Thank you for supporting your child and the teachers. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me or the teachers.
