Mid-Quarter 4 Progress Reports

Parents are able to view and print mid-quarter ‘progress reports’ through Skyward this Friday, April 30th. Of course, progress reports provide parents and students the latest ‘snapshot’ of student academic progress in each of their courses.  Quarter 4 and Semester II concludes on Friday May 21, 2021, which is the final day that student course work can be submitted for credit.  The end of the year is fast approaching.   Please help our Ledgers to plan well, keep up with their obligations, maintain academic integrity, manage their stress and finish strong!

Ledger Honors Convocation – May 6th

Thursday, May 6th will be a special schedule in the high school to celebrate the many academic accomplishments of the 2020-21 school year, and especially honors earned by the Class of 2021.  B-Day classes will meet as usual, and an all school Ledger Honors Convocation is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. – 12 :15 p.m. in Hutter Gym. May 6 Special Schedule

Senior parents are welcome to attend, but space and COVID safety limitations will not allow for parents of freshman – juniors to attend. We will make the event accessible through a livestream link.

Exam Schedules and Expectations- May 18th – 21st

Semester II Exams will be administered in-person for all students this May.  The following details have been finalized and shared with all students.  Homeroom teachers are taking time to review each document with students.

The expectation of in-person exams and final projects extends to all students who have been learning virtually this year. Research indicates that in-person assessment is most beneficial for students in general.  Students who provide the school with a doctor’s note, recommending a medical waiver from in-person exams or final projects will be accommodated by SMSA.  Please reach-out to Mr. Mahaffey in the Counseling Office if a medical waiver will prohibit your Ledger from attending in-person final exams or projects this May.

Prom Success

A great big “thank you” to all the students, staff and parents whose good efforts and collaboration enabled a successful prom as well as two post-prom events on Saturday, April 24th.  Our Springs community is so very generous with time, talent and treasure – all of which were needed to assure success and fun for prom 2021!

Our Lady of the Ledge, pray for us!

Be well, God bless.

Eamonn O’Keeffe, Principal Grades 9-12
