Veteran’s Day – November 11th

The elementary students will be celebrating Veteran’s Day on Monday, November 11th in Baker gym. The celebration will start at 9:25 a.m. with a flag ceremony. Students from various grade levels will participate in many ways throughout the ceremony. The remembrance of gratitude shown will be The Ledger Way at it’s finest!

Elves R Us is looking for shoppers to purchase items for the event.  Items are being collected for the 2019 and 2020 events.

Elves R’ Us is a Christmas event that 8th graders have managed for over 25 years.  The 8th graders interview “elves” for jobs to help PreK – 5th grade students shop for Christmas gifts for their friends and families.  Funds raised for this event will go towards the 8th grade class, as well as to SMSA and a local family/community groups in need.

The Lands’ End School Starboard Scholarship acknowledges and rewards students who display exceptional leadership skills.  Each winning student will receive a $10,000 scholarship.

The Elementary Art Department K-8 Original Works is in full swing. Art work should have come home or will be coming home soon. Money raised from this fundraiser goes right back into the K-8 Art Department to give our students the most creative and wonderful art experience. In the past we have been able to purchase new kilns, displays and other art tools and supplies to use in our classes. 

If you are intending to order, please send all art work back to school by the end of the day on November 12, 2019. All orders will arrive before Christmas, making them great Christmas gifts! If you do not intend to order, please still return the artwork to school, as we would love to display the students talents!
