Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week I had a grand opportunity to work with another Principal on Tuesday, October 27th. Thaden Colwin, from fourth grade, joined me as he was deemed Principal for the Day (a fun auction item won at Swing Fore Springs). We had a great day of looking over the safety of SMSA, attended classroom visits, went to important meetings, welcomed people to school and cheered them on as they left the Ledge. During one of our meetings he stated, “everyone needs to remember to bring face masks for you and your kids when you come to school or go anywhere. Stay home if you have symptoms of COVID-19. It takes everyone to keep us safe.” Mr. Thaden Colwin hit it right on the mark. It does take all of us as a community to keep everyone safe. Ten year old minds are beautiful and insightful.
Mr. Thaden Colwin wants to remind everyone to stay safe during Halloween. Please read below for a link Mr. Colwin thought was a good resource.
Thank you Mr. Colwin for spending the day with me. It was a wonderful treat and a highlight of my week.
God Bless,
Steven Kelnhofer
