Dear Parents and Guardians,

As I look out the window, I see the autumn season is coming into full bloom. The colors paint in my mind and help me see our artistic, creative and amazing God. The autumn leaves also remind me that the first quarter of school is coming to a close. Our quarter ends on Friday, October 30th. Report cards will be electronic again this year through Skyward. We look forward to seeing your e-signature.

Halloween Parties

On Friday, October 30th, we will be hosting classroom Halloween parties. Please send your child in their costume. We’ll be starting our day with learning and conclude with controlled parties starting at 10:30 a.m. Please look for more information about classroom parties from the classroom teachers in the coming days and weeks.

Early Release

Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 30th for an early release.

Thank you for our partnership and spirit of family and community. Your children are rock stars on the Ledge. I’m so proud of them as a collective whole for doing their part in keeping everyone safe at school.

Lands’ End Starboard Scholarship (Grades 8-12)

The Lands’ End School Starboard Scholarship acknowledges and rewards students who display exceptional leadership skills.  Each winning student will receive a $5,000 scholarship.  Applications are being accepted from now until Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

Thank you so much to all of our SMSA families who have returned their Parent Connectors Volunteer Form!  We are currently working on entering all of the information into our file. If you haven’t returned it and would like to receive our email updates, please email either Andrea Nuss, alnuss@charter.net or Katie Mathos, katiemathos@gmail.com and let us know. Thank you so much!  Once we have it all entered, you will be receiving an email from us about any updates we have to share.

After reevaluating our current pandemic, it is in the best interest of our SMSA families that our annual Trunk or Treat event will not be held this year. We are very sad as we know this event is loved by our children and always a very well attended event.
