Greetings Parents,

Thank you for showing your appreciation during Staff Appreciation last week!  It was a wonderful experience filled with abundant smiles, laughter and gratitude. We truly have a fabulous school here at SMSA.  Thank you for being part of our mission!

I love sharing stories about the wonderful experiences happening here at SMSA.  My guess is others do as well.  I challenge everyone to share at least one amazing experience your child or children had this last school year with someone in the community.  I heard this quote from a teacher earlier in the week, “What you highlight is what you focus on.”  I love it!  The beauty of it is, we get to choose what we highlight and the story we want to tell from any given experience.   It would be great to find our core values of community, leading, faith, respect, responsibility, and learning in those moments we remember.

Box Tops Summer Collection

Thank you for collecting Box Tops For Education throughout this past year.  Because of your efforts, SMSA earned $3,918.20!  Proceeds will be disbursed to the Music Department, Art Department and Physical Education Departments allowing them to make exciting extra purchases.  

So that we can top our 2017/2018 earnings – each child in grades K-5 will receive a ziploc gallon bag with a collection sheet for summer use.  Fill the sheet…better yet, fill the bag and bring it back the first week of the 2018/2019 school year! 

Other rebate programs we partake in are:  Milk Moola (caps and labels from Kwik Trip Milk) and Loaves for Learning (UPC labels from Country Hearth & Village Hearth bread products).  Put them in the bag as well. .
