FROM THE OFFICE OF STEVE KELNHOFER, PREK - 8TH GRADE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for all the love and support during Teacher Appreciation Week last week. The week was special because of the contributions from all of you. Thank you for your generosity and support. It truly makes being at SMSA special.

As the school year is winding down, please remember to check in with Skyward for learning that has occurred. It may be a good time to check for missing assignments, seek understanding, or feel really good for the accomplishments in learning.

This time of the year offers many ways to participate as a school community. Chaperoning field trips, attending concerts for Middle School, volunteering for field days are all ways to contribute to the end of the school year. Please look for these opportunities through teacher communications in the coming days and weeks ahead.

As a reminder, grades fourth through eighth will be joining grades Kindergarten through third grade in Standards Based Grading next school year. Please take some time to view the videos below if you would like to seek understanding about SBG. Each video is approximately 10 minutes in length. Please begin with the first video and view in order from top to bottom. Thank you.

Thank you for all your support and partnership as we move towards the conclusion of the school year at SMSA. Together we create a path for tomorrow’s children to achieve amazing dreams.

God Bless,
Steven Kelnhofer

Please help by making sure all uniforms are clean and free of holes, stains and torn seams.
