Dear Parents/Guardians,
I pray you are all doing well and preparing for a relaxing spring break with your family whether you are staying at home or traveling. It’s good to take time away from our ordinary routines to reflect, play and be with family.
Included in this eLedger are three focus areas. First, the third session of our standards based grading video series. Second, I would like you to pay close attention to the Forward schedule. Finally, I would like to draw your attention to how to use GoGuardian at home.
Please click here to unpack a review of where we have been so far in our journey, understand a mind-shift in grading practices and understanding of the standards based learning scale.
The objective of the video series is to educate parents in short videos to unpack Standard Based Grading. The series intends to deliver an education and mind-shift to understand Standards Based Grading, why Standards Based Grading is best practice, and how Standards Based Grading functions with the parent and teacher supporting the student’s journey.
Thank you for your partnership!
Grades three through eight will begin practice testing for the Forward test on Monday, March 29th. Forward testing will begin on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 and conclude on Friday, April 16, 2021. Please partner with us and have your child attend school, in-person, during Forward testing and physically prepared as possible. Thank you.
During school hours we use the GoGuardian professional level software to monitor students’ internet use throughout the school day. Recently, GoGuardian created a parent filtering application that can be downloaded onto your cell phone. As a parent you would be able to (outside of school hours) block access to certain websites, limit when the internet is available, and receive reports on your children’s internet usage.
You can choose to use this free service by completing this Google Form to help our Technology Director, Justin Poetzel, give you access to this service.
I have included an attachment with this message giving you instructions on how to download and begin using the app. Click Here to view parent information message
God Bless,
