From the Office of Steve Kelnhofer, PreK - 8th Grade Principal

Dear Parents,

Welcome to 2020! What an exciting time to be a Ledger!

MAPS testing is underway, Catholic Schools Week is just around the corner and we have a couple of staffing changes as we enter into the new year.

Mrs. Jo Gilgenbach, will be moving into an aide position in Ms. Welker’s classroom. Mrs. Jacinta Emmers will be moving to the South Hall Office. We are excited for the new experience for both of them.  Mrs. Amanda Cords will be the long term substitute in Mrs. Robert’s classroom starting January 14th. Mrs. Cords comes to us with 5 years of teaching experience and is completing her masters degree. She loves the Lord and has been exploring Mrs. Robert’s classroom in preparation and a smooth transition.  We welcome Mrs. Wendt to the library for a month or two to support our students in enjoying the love of reading and checking out books. Thank you for your help. We appreciate you!  Mrs. Rebecca Dahlke, our new nurse, began this week. Becca will be located in the South Hall Office. She brings a wealth of knowledge, wonderful joy and amazing practice. We are excited and blessed to have her at SMSA.

It’s truly an exciting time to be a Ledger in 2020! Thank you for being a partner with us on your child’s or children’s journey through education.

Love and Logic Tip of the Week:

Parents who battle with their kids over friendship choices create teenagers who sneak around behind their backs.

MAPS Testing

Students from grades 2 – 8 will be taking the winter MAPS test starting Monday, January 6 – Thursday, January 30, 2020.

God Bless,

Steven Kelnhofer
