Dear Parents/Guardians,
It was wonderful being able to attend an Ash Wednesday service this past Wednesday. Thank you to Fr. John and Father Edward for leading our many services for the day. Thank you Sheila Skiff for her organization of the events of the day. The season of Lent leads us towards the opportunity of forty days to practice the self disciplines of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. All three practices peel away the clutter of our lives and center us towards a closer relationship with Jesus. I invite you to join SMSA in exploring and experiencing these three Lenten practices with the youth of our Catholic faith. Let’s give them the gift of examples of our faith and lead them towards a closer relationship with our Lord.
Thank you for a wonderful virtual conference experience last week. I appreciate the partnership to support the students on their educational journeys. Students are three weeks away from concluding their third quarter. This may be a good time to dive into Skyward with your child(ren) if you have not taken a peek in the recent weeks.
Seek and you will find, knock and the door shall be opened. May God be with you on your Lenten journey.
God Bless,
Steven Kelnhofer
