Dear Families,

A few short weeks ago I would never predicted that my next eLedger article would be supporting a virtual learning experience for SMSA.   This week, that’s where we find ourselves, in the midst of learning something new, traveling a road where opportunity is as abundant as prayers to return to normalcy.   

I pray all of you are safe, healthy and well.  This eledger will be dedicated to offering links, reminders and supports as we navigate our new virtual world together.

The End of the Third Quarter – April 3rd

Due to the extended spring break, the third quarter will be ending tomorrow, Friday, April 3 instead of Friday, March 27, 2020. Skyward will be closed for viewing grades on Friday, April 3rd and will reopen on Friday, April 10th for viewing the end of the quarter grades.

Love and Logic tip of the Week  

Your words can either build up or destroy.  Use them wisely.

Ms. Roltgen has designed an optional Musical Madness match-off for her music students and has invited parents and teachers to participate as well. Let’s build community in our time of social distancing as well as broaden our knowledge of musicals!

Once you sign up via email with Ms. Roltgen, every couple of days you will receive a google form with a link of 2 songs from musicals to listen to on YouTube. You then choose your favorite song and vote. The results will be tallied each week and in about a month, we will find out the winning musical selection. There are three brackets: 4th/5th Grade Bracket, 6 – 8 Grade Bracket and Parent/Teacher Bracket. Each bracket has the same songs, so this is a great activity to do with the whole family!
