Are you interested in learning more about how someone joins the Catholic Church? The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process by which a person is initiated as an adult into the Catholic Church through Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion. Through this process, an adult is formed in the Christian faith, with the local parish community serving as both catechists and models. OCIA is for three groups of people: those who have never been baptized in any faith; people who were baptized in another Christian faith; and baptized Catholics who have never received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. Calling all young adults ages 18-29! Do you love fall? Then join your fellow young adults for a day of Fall Farm Fun at the Kelley’s Farmstead, N4149 Kelley Rd., in Fond du Lac, on Saturday, September 26 at 1:00 pm. Support Holy Family high school students’ trip to the Steubenville Youth Conference by eating at Culver’s, 969 E. Johnson St., from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 5. A portion of the sales made in the restaurant and drive-thru that night will benefit the students. Donations are appreciated!

Holy Family is excited to send a special care package to your college‑aged student! Whether they’re studying on campus, serving for a year, or diving into another immersive learning experience, Holy Family wants them to feel the love, support, and prayers of their Catholic family.

In the lead up to Holy Family’s Marian Procession & Rosary Rally on Sunday, October 11, Holy Family will pray a Rosary Novena in the Sacred Heart Adoration Chapel, 200 S. Peters Ave., every night from Friday, October 2 to Saturday, October 10. Members of their Clergy and parish will lead the Novena at the following times:

• Friday, October 2: 6:00 to 7:00 pm led by Douglas Stadler
• Saturday, October 3: 7:00 to 8:00 pm led by Michael Zaccaria, dedicated to Young Adults
• Sunday, October 4: 6:00 to 7:00 pm led by Mary Carol Zunker
• Monday, October 5: 6:00 to 7:00 pm led by Michael Schaefer
• Tuesday, October 6: 6:00 to 7:00 pm led by Fr. Richter in Spanish
• Wednesday, October 7: 6:00 to 7:00 pm led by Fr. Alex Becker

The Novena will conclude at the parish’s Marian Procession and Rosary Rally on Sunday, October 11 at 2:00 pm at St. Mary Church, 59 E. Merrill Ave. The procession will begin inside the church, and process south on Main Street to 2nd Street to Macy Street returning to St. Mary’s. If you are unable to join the procession, you are welcome to pray the Rosary with us at St. Mary.

All are welcome and encouraged to participate!

In observance of Respect Life Month, Holy Family invites everyone to join in praying the Rachel Rosary at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 4 at Sacred Heart. The Rachel Rosary is a six-decade Rosary specially modified to emphasize prayer for victims of abortion and post-abortion syndrome. After, join us at the annual Stand for Life – an hour of public silent prayer vigil for the unborn and vulnerable – from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the corner of West Johnson Street and North Peters Avenue hosted by the Fond du Lac County Chapter of Wisconsin Right to Life.

Students in 5th–7th grade are invited to join us for Open the Word, a night to grow in faith, ask questions, and explore the Bible together. Bible Study runs from 6:30–7:30 pm at Sacred Heart Victory Center, with a family potluck beforehand from 5:30–6:30 pm. Bring a dish to pass and come join us!

Join the Sisters of St. Agnes for contemplative prayer on one Sunday each month from 4-5 p.m in the CSA Chapel (320 County Rd K, Fond du Lac, WI 54937).

The prayer time begins and ends with a prayer. Silence is maintained in the interim to allow for personal prayers. This prayer is for our country, for peace in the world, and for family and friends.

Join us for your special needs and graces. All are welcome to participate for the hour or a portion of it.

Please arrive by 4pm.

The Mission Integration Committee of Marian University is pleased to present a speakers series focusing on Catholic Social Teaching. Each session will focus on a single theme of Catholic Social Teaching and explore it through the lens of a CSA Corporate Stance and a Marian major. The series will take place from 3-4 p.m. in Marian University’s Stayer Auditorium. Sisters & Seekers is based on a national program called Nuns & Nones. Our purpose is to come together as women from diverse spiritual backgrounds and belief systems to reflect on the deeper meaning and spiritual questions of our lives in a world that is chaotic, polarized, and fear-driven. Sisters & Seekers gatherings follow these guiding principles: (1) Create safe places for relationship, dialogue, inquiry, and spiritual practice that can inform personal social action. (2) Welcome mutual learning and pluralistic thought- not persuasion of belief. (3) Aim to root oneself in a personal spiritual foundation that can bring forth a more just and loving world, no longer dependent on systems of extraction and oppression. (4) At best, grows into a supportive, welcoming and committed community (5) Led by a Guiding Committee composed of two capable Sisters and two Seekers.
