St. Mary’s Springs Academy High School is proud to present their spring musical, Crazy For You, a musical comedy in two acts depicting the struggles of a young man and his dream to be a performer in New York. His life takes an unexpected twist when his feet land him in Nevada to a run down theater where he discovers he can save the town by bringing his talents (and his dancers from New York) to do a show. Through disguise, dancing and budding romances, we see a town saved, couples united and a dream come true. Crazy For You, by Ira Gershwin, opened at the Shubert theater in February of 1992 and ran for 1,622 performances, and contains such classics as “Someone to Watch Over Me”, “Embraceable You”, and “But Not For Me”. It has continued to wow audiences at many well known theaters since that time.

The show utilizes the help of SMSA’s Parents for the Performing Arts where they organize ticket sales, flower sales, production costs, promotional materials and multiple areas of support for the show itself. Without these amazing parents, the show simply would not happen. Andrea Pannier, band and choir director at St, Mary’s Springs Academy, organizes and directs the pit orchestra, and Stephanie (Develice) Brusky 97’, cheer and dance coach at SMSA, choreographs large dance numbers. We are proud to introduce Tiffany Torris as the rehearsal and lead pit orchestra accompanist as well.

The show will be performed Friday March 6 at 7pm, Saturday March 7 at 7pm and Sunday March 8 at 1pm at the Horace Mann PAC in North Fond du Lac, 225 McKinley Street. Tickets will be $10 per adult, $6 per student and $7 per adult age 60 or better. Tickets will be available at Wegner’s Office Supply and at the door with preferred seating.
