Marian University Social Work program on campus

Representatives from Marian University will be visiting SMSA on Thursday, February 20th from 12:15 – 1pm to talk to students about their social work program.  
A social work job involves helping individuals, families, and communities overcome challenges related to mental health, poverty, substance abuse, family issues, and more. Social workers often work in schools, hospitals, government agencies, and non-profits. The role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and an understanding of human behavior and social systems.
