Veteran's Day Dress Code - Prek - 6

In an effort to add some red white and blue to the Veteran’s Day celebration, students are being asked to dress in the following manner:

PreK – K:  red, white, or blue on top
Grades 1 ,2, 3, and 8: red on top
Grades 4 and 7: white on top
Grades 5 and 6: blue on top
-please note, dress code bottoms must be worn.  No sweatpants or jeans.

Veteran’ Day Celebration - November 11th

Calling all relatives and friends of SMSA students who are Veterans!  We invite you to SMSA as we will be honoring our Veterans with celebration and refreshments on Monday, November 11, 2019.  If possible, please come dressed in your uniform.

The Beverly Hillbillies - November 15th - 17th

Enjoy an evening at the show as SMSA presents, “The Beverly Hillbillies!”

 

Watch as Jed Clampett and his family’s oil discovery brings them to the new culture of Beverly Hills, CA and the hilarious backwoods lifestyle of the Clampett’s.

 

The show will take place at the North Fond du Lac PAC.  Tickets are available at www.hometowntickes.com and are $12 in advance and $14 at the door for adults.  $7 in advance and at the door for students as well as senior citizens 65 years or better.  

 

Showtimes:

Friday, November 15th – 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, November 16th – 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 17th – 1:00 p.m.

 

Audiences will be sent home feeling better than a bull weevil in a cotton field!  Ya’ll come back now, you here?!


NHS Blood Drive - November 20th

On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the SMSA Chapter of the National Honor Society in cooperation with the American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive at SMSA in Hutter Gym.

By donating at this blood drive, you are helping one or more graduating seniors earn a scholarship, and saving countless lives! Students ages 16-17 may give with a completed parent permission slip turned in to Mr. Thompson in room 3037. 18 year old students can sign themselves.


Yarn Collection Drive - November 18th - 22nd

SMSA’s club, Needles and Hooks, is teaming up with a local charity, Knitwits on a Mission, to collect yarn for charity knitters in the community.  Most of the yarn will be donated to senior centers. Hats, mittens, lap blankets and such are made by charity knitters and then donated to the needs in our community.

 

Please bring in your yarn during the week of Monday, November 18 – Friday, November, 22, 2019.  Baskets will be placed at the North and South Hall entrances for yarn to be dropped off in.

Elves R Us Baked Cookies Needed - Due December 9th

The Elves are in need of 30 volunteers to each bake 2 dozen Christmas themed and NUT-FREE cookies (cut-outs, snickerdoodles, chocolate chip, etc.). Please bring to the South elementary office by 9:00 a.m. on Monday Dec. 9th.  Please click here to sign up to volunteer!

Elves R Us Small Boxes Needed - Due by December 9th

Yes! It’s that time of year and the shop is getting ready.  The Elves wrapping division is in need of small boxes to wrap items such as mugs, ornaments and jewelry.  Please bring all donations of small boxes to the South Office (elementary wing) by Monday December 9, 2019.

Safeguarding God's Children(SEE Training) - December 16th

There will be a Safeguarding God’s Children Safe Environment (SEE) training at Holy Family Church Hall on Monday, December 16, 2019.  This training is mandatory for any parent or guardian wanting to volunteer at the school. It will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Stressed? Tired? Overworked?

 

Find peace and rest in our beautiful school Chapel!

 

Every Friday, Jesus is waiting for you in the Blessed Sacrament!  Sign up for an hour of quiet time with Jesus in Adoration from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We need at least one person each hour to be in the chapel with Jesus. You can spend your hour reading, journaling, praying, resting, or just telling Jesus all that’s in your heart! It’s the best hour you’ll have all week!
