Jeans/Spirit Wear Day! Support Missionary Fraternity of Mary - March 4th

This Friday, March 4th, we will be hosting an All-System jeans/sweats and spirit wear day to raise funds for The Missionary Fraternity of Mary (Holy Family priests, Fr. Fabian and Fr. Alejandro’s order)! Jeans will be a recommended $3 donation and sweats will be a recommended $5 donation. Spirit wear can be worn on top! If students do not wish to participate, they should plan to wear their school uniform.


This Missionary Fraternity of Mary is an order of Priests within the Roman Catholic Church dedicated to educating and bringing the good news and sacraments to Catholics. To learn more about this order, visit their website:

Temporary Stop Signs - Beginning March 7th

Starting Monday, March 7th, you will see temporary stops placed at the middle entrance. This will be an all way stop. We are hoping that this will help clear up some of the congestion we are seeing in the morning.

WI Parental Choice Program Open Enrollment 2022-2023 - Deadlines April 21st

The Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) online application is now open for 2022-2023. Parents will be able to apply from Tuesday, February 1, 2022 – Thursday, April 21, 2022.


The DPI requires current Choice families to fill out an application. Filling out the application informs the DPI that you want your Choice voucher for the following school year. If the DPI does not receive an application from a current family the Choice voucher is given to another applicant for 2022-2023.

Families with students who participated in the Choice voucher program in the prior year are not required to provide income documentation. Proof of residency documents are required for new and current families.

K-12 Tuition Tax Deduction - Wisconsin Council of Religious and Independent Schools

Thanks to advocacy by WCRIS, state law allows Wisconsin parents to deduct private school tuition on their taxes. Under the program, parents statewide can deduct up to $4,000 per student in grades K-8, and up to $10,000 per high school student.

Substitute Teachers - Long Term

St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking two long-term substitute teachers.  The candidate will spend a week or two with the current teacher to create a seamless transition in the classroom.  Successful candidate must hold an Education License or be certified as substitute teacher in the state of WI.


A fifth grade teacher is needed from approximately Tuesday, March 15th through Friday, June 10th, 2022.


A middle school physical education teacher is needed Friday, April 1st through Friday, June 10th, 2022.


Knowledge of current practices and methodologies in Elementary Education and/or Physical Education required.  Candidate should also be a team player, willing to be flexible and collaborate with colleagues, technology integration, and differentiation instruction and assessment.  Practicing Catholic is preferred.

COVID Protocol Updates – Effective March 1st

  • Masks are no longer mandatory on public transportation. Therefore, masking on buses for all SMSA activities and events is optional and will not be required at this time. 
  • Exposure notifications will no longer occur. Quarantine and isolation guidelines remain the same.
