Are you looking to strengthen your faith and find fellowship? Join the St. Ambrose Men’s Group for “That Man is You!” beginning Wednesday, September 14.

That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers.

The group will meet Wednesdays through December 14 at 5:30 am in Holy Family Parish Hall, 271 Fourth Street Way. The morning will include a full breakfast, a video from the program at 6:00 am, and a small group discussion.

Join Holy Family Catholic Community for its Women’s Ministry Kick-Off on Thursday, September 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way.

The night will begin with Mass, followed by snacks and a social in the Hall. Entrepreneur, instructor, director of Christian Education in Sullivan, and sister of Fr. John Paul Mitchell, Anne Auger, will speak on “Beauty-Full: The Gifts of Womanhood” in a talk perfect for women of the parish middle-school age and up!

Attendees are encouraged to bring a package of size 4 or 5 diapers, which attendees will bundle into a donation for Charis Pregnancy Help Center. Childcare will be available by contacting Sabina at (920) 921-0580.

Holy Family Catholic Community is looking for volunteers to run Children’s Liturgy of the Word at 10:00 am at Holy Family, 8:30 am at St. Peter, or 9:00 am at Sacred Heart. The parish is hoping to begin the program on Sunday, September 18th at Holy Family and on Sunday, October 2nd at St. Peter.

The Season of Creation is underway!

Holy Family is providing opportunities for prayer, learning, and service in conjunction with the “Season of Creation.” The Season of Creation runs from the first of September through the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi on October 4^th. The Season of Creation is a Christian movement seeking to instill in the hearts of believers a greater awareness of an integral ecology which encompasses not only care of the environment but also the meaning of the human person and human culture. The treasure of the Catholic Church’s tradition has much to offer this ecumenical movement and Holy Family Parish will be providing a number of opportunities to engage including:

• Talks by Fr. Justin about “Creation from a Catholic Perspective” (12-Sep) and “What the Saints can Teach us about Stewardship” (26-Sep), a youth service project (15-Sep)
• An Ecumenical Prayer Service (19-Sep)
• An outdoor Mass followed by a hike and picnic at Mauthe Lake (24-Sep)
• A closing Mass (3-Oct).

Celebrate the culture, faith, and food of our Hispanic community at Holy Family’s Latin Flavor event on Sunday, September 18th!

The event will begin at 10:00 am with a bilingual Spanish and English Mass at Holy Family Church. The festival will follow in the Prayer Garden from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm with traditional games, music from a Marachi band, the group Masivo Show, a DJ; a performance by the Dance Academy of Mexico; joke, dance, and jalapeño eating contests; and food like tacos, tamales, popusas/flour griddle, Coctel de elotes/corn cocktail, platillo de tostadas de tinga/shredded chicken with tomatoes, chipotle chilis, and onions on a toasted tortilla, nachos, burritos, aguas frescas/fruit coolers, and chilindrinas/flour fritters with pork, vegetables, and sauce.

Learn how to extend this invitation at My Parish Matters, a training sharing the Gospel with people you care about and inviting them in your parish community. This event will take place from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 10 at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way.

Children’s Choir rehearses every Thursday from 4:00 to 4:45 pm September through May and leads the singing for one Mass per month. Children’s choir is open to kids in 2nd grade through 8th grade.

No registration is required—simply show up to rehearsal on Thursdays and a Mass schedule will be provided to you! Call the parish office for more details.
